06.01.2022 Wondering what is happening in our favourite holiday destinations Thailand and Vietnam? Here is a little update and a quiz to see how well you know Thailand. Thailand quiz link - https://forms.gle/Tv771c7EzKiWjdHi9 ... THAILAND - Covid Update At the end of March, Thailand closed its international borders and introduced a curfew from 8pm to 4am. The numbers infected are slowly reducing with only 117 still active and 56 deaths. Thailand is beginning to open gradually with domestic flights operating, restaurants opening and the Sky Train (BTS) in action. VIETNAM - Covid Update After 3 months of homeschooling in Vietnam, there were many happy faces last week when everyone could go back to school. Vietnam's lockdown has been almost entirely lifted and there are only 36 active cases and zero deaths. The borders are still closed, although some Vietnamese nationals are returning from a number of countries where they have been working. Vietnam closed schools and borders in February, quarantined entire regions and traced every single outbreak down and quarantined thousands of people with the assistance of the military. It has been impressive and Vietnam deserves recognition. Here is an article regarding Vietnam. https://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-vietnam-no-de/12237314

02.01.2022 Can't travel to India this year! Doesn't mean you can't master making your own Indian naan. Enjoy! RECIPE: Fluffy and easy Indian naan Whether you're devouring them on their own or using one to mop up the gravy of your favourite curry when a spoon simply won't do, naan bread is both versatile and delicious.... Here's a recipe for a fluffy naan you can make using just your stove and oven. Ingredients: 250g plain flour 2 tsp sugar tsp salt tsp baking powder 120ml milk 30ml vegetable oil 1 tsp softened butter 50g nigella (black sesame) seeds (optional) Instructions Resting time: 10-15 minutes 1. In a large bowl, add sifted flour, sugar, salt and baking powder and mix together. Then in a jug, mix together the milk and the oil. 2. Make a well in the centre of the flour mixture and slowly pour in the liquid mixture, whilst stirring with the wooden spoon; the flour will absorb all the liquid. Then knead well for 8-10 minutes to make a soft smooth dough. If the dough is too sticky just add a little flour as you are kneading it. 3. Place the dough into an oiled bowl, cover with a damp tea-towel and leave in a warm place to rest for 10-15 minutes. Divide into six equal portions and form into dough balls. 4. On a clean floured surface, roll the dough balls into thin circles and quite thin (3mm to 4mm) remember, the naan will rise when cooked. If the dough sticks, use a little flour. Scatter some nigella seeds on each naan and press gently into the dough. 5. Heat a non-stick frying pan on a medium heat. Place the naan in the pan and cook for 1 - 2 minutes, then carefully remove from pan and place on a baking tray under a hot grill for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Spread with a little butter and serve hot.

01.01.2022 Disney Parks Update We’ve had a busy couple of months with many updates from our Disney Parks. After we announced the reopening of our Shanghai Disneyland back in May, we’ve seen a number of our other parks around the world follow suit in their reopening. We reopened Tokyo Disneyland on July 1, followed by the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on July 11 and finally Disneyland Paris on July 15. Unfortunately, due to the increase in cases in Hong Kong, our Hong Kong Disneyland Park has had to close at the advice of the government and health authorities and we await further feedback about Disneyland Resort California and the time frame for reopening.
