19.01.2022 LAS VEGAS Today a group of friends and I were booked to fly to Las Vegas and then onto San Francisco. Like so many others, our trip has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We plan to take this trip sometime in the future, but in the meantime, we didn’t want to completely miss out, so we hosted our own Vegas themed party!!! 14.01.2022 EXPLORING - Gold Coast Hinterland As COVID-19 restrictions are slowly lifting, in Qld we are now allowed to travel a max. of 150kms within our region for day trips. So yesterday, I took a drive to Springbrook NP to explore the Warringa Pool Track. This is a 6km return walk amongst beautiful lush forest. This track branches off the Purling Brook Falls circuit near the base of the falls. ... It was great to be outdoors and enjoying a local treasure. Please share your recommended local spots for the Gold Coast and Brisbane in the comments below. Here is a few of my tips for Warringa Pool Track / Purling Brook Falls Commence the walk clockwise otherwise you will be climbing 450 steps to get back up to the top Allow approximately 2-3 hours The pool and falls are both a great spot for a bite to eat Take a light rain jacket Wear shoes with good grip, those rocks are slippery even when they’re not wet!! 07.01.2022 I experienced another fabulous day out with @seaworldcrusies and two of my gorgeous friends, taking in nature at it’s best! We were fortunate to spot a mum and calf humpback whale shortly after heading out through the seaway. These beautiful creatures were extremely comfortable in our presence, the calf breached numerous times (to quick and unexpected for me to capture anything more than a splash and a sneaky fin).
