24.01.2022 WICKED THE MUSICAL WOW, what an experience that was. As the Hair & Makeup Designer for a production of such an iconic qnd established show I struggled to find a way to put my own spin on things. I've always seen Elephaba as an incredibly beautiful woman who is purely misjudged based on the colour of her skin alone. For that reason I wanted elphaba to exhibit some of our current beauty standards even as the girl next door/unfortunate sister. ... Seen here in this stunning shot by @kenn_santos is the phenomenal Elphaba (@sammdods) embracing the Good Witch Glinda (@emilymonsma) proving Love is a stronger force than Hate will ever be.
