25.01.2022 The NSW Nationals have failed struggling farmers in the Barwon Electorate and rural NSW. No measures have been implemented to support businesses and communitie...s also affected by drought. Offering more debt to people who already have their backs to the wall is not the right response. Pressing ahead with relocation of a museum from the City to Parramatta at a cost of $1.5bn, $2.3bn for stadiums, a blow out in time and money on light rail - $2.1bn demonstrates the coalitions metro centric focus and disregard for rural NSW. The inability of the Nationals to get the coalition to provide urgent support to struggling farmers and rural NSW shows they are no longer the party for the bush. Government needs to stop blindly pursuing trinkets that win metro votes, and get serious about supporting country NSW. Postpone the museum and stadiums, and spend that money, $3.8bn supporting Rural NSW. Barwon Deserves Better
