25.01.2022 DAY 31 - 147KM DOWN!!!!!! After a very long and tiring month, we have finally crossed the line! I would like to say a massive thank you to all who have supported the cause and encouraged me along the way. It was a very long and tiring journey and many points I felt I was not going to quiet reach the goal! ... These runs are in memory of the 147 Queensland Police members who died whilst on duty. It is also important to recognise the amazing job our police men and women do to keep us safe everyday, we thank you for your service. AS OF TONIGHT THE DONATIONS HAVE REACHED $1118.65 - with the donations being donated to Queensland and Victorian Police Legacy Associations. P.S - Here’s a great photo that was dug out of the archives from the 2016 Relay For Life cross dressing fundraiser! Hope you enjoy and thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! Trayeden

24.01.2022 DAY 10 - 45km DOWN I would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there! Especially those working on the frontline today who won’t get to spend their day with their family! The sacrifices police members make for us everyday is a tremendous effort and they are often unable to spend some special moments with their family. For that we thank you and are forever thankful! ... Trayeden

17.01.2022 Day 8 - REST DAY Today will be a rest day as I give the legs a quick break before attempting a 10km run tomorrow to bring the tally up! May is recognised nationally as Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, domestic and family violence is something that occurs too frequently in our society and occurs with a large range of offenders that have no distinctive stereotypical appearance. ... Domestic Violence is something our officers deal with on a daily basis and can be extremely confrontational at times. I was lucky enough to meet and listen to a Domestic Violence Awareness speech presented by Simone O’Brien who was brutally attacked by her partner and almost didn’t survive the attack. She was assisted in her speech by a Queensland Police Officer who supported her tremendously through her journey in which she is now able to share her story in hope of preventing future violence.

12.01.2022 Day 7 - 35KM DOWN Today’s run was dedicated to PD Arkie of the Maryborough Police Patrol Group, who sadly passed away on Sunday as a result of unforeseen medical circumstances. PD Arkie was and extremely hard-working police dog and was awaiting the receipt of the Assistant Commissioners Award for his role in taking down an armed offender after a multi-hour seige.... It is the heroic efforts of officers and PD in situations like these that truely reflect the bravery and courage of our police members. It is extremely important that we are able to help support those who have lost their lives protecting ours through supporting their legatees through organisations such as police legacy. If you could make any donations it would be truely appreciated by all police members, together we can support the heroes who are there for us everyday. Rest In Peace PD Arkie, with honour you have served. Trayeden - Queensland Police Service

12.01.2022 Day 11 - 50KM DOWN Today I wish to pay my respects to Senior Constable Brett Andrew Forte of the Darling Downs District Tactical Crime Squad who was a heroic and dedicated police officer with over 15 years experience. Snr. Constable Forte was tragically killed on the 29 May 2017, when attempting to make a traffic stop on a dangerous wanted person. After following the wanted persons vehicle onto a dirt junction, the offender exited his vehicle and began to fire at Snr Consta...ble Forte and his partner Snr Constable Catherine Nielsen with an automatic weapon. Snr Constable Forte who was driving the police vehicle immediatley began reversing the police vehicle whilst under heavy gunfire, Snr Constable Forte suffered two gun shot wounds whilst attempting to protecting his partner Snr Constable Nielsen and led to the police vehicle overturnning on the dirt road. Snr Constable Forte tragically succumbed to his fatal wounds, but his bravery and immediate response saved the life of Senior Constable Nielsen. Senior Constable Brett Forte lives on in his wife and three children who the Queensland Police Legacy provide support to. It is the bravery and courage of our police members which show what amazing human beings they are. They sacrifice their lives to ensure our safety and there sacrifices is something we will never forget. This is why I am doing this challenge, to support the families of our heroes who don’t make it home. May you forever Rest In Peace Senior Constable Brett Andrew Forte, you sacrifice and bravery will forever be remembered. Trayeden (I believe there was a timing error in the app I use to record my runs, I definitely can not run that fast)
