09.01.2022 UPDATE: Due to popular demand, I've opened up classes on Saturdays! If you're interested in a 5:30pm class starting on February the 23rd, get in touch. Looking ...for something fun to do with your dog? Want to build confidence for your shy dog? Got a high energy dog who needs a job to do? Looking for something your reactive dog can participate in? Does your dog have a nose? If you answered yes to any of the above, then Nosework is for you! Nosework is detection dog training for pet dogs. Your dog will learn to find and alert you to specific scents. Nosework is fun for both pet owners and dogs! You will learn how to read and motivate your dog, while your dog works hard to solve the scentwork puzzle to earn their reward. Your instructor, Liz, has several years’ experience training and handling dogs for Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). She has experience setting thoughtful searches to deliberately progress dog and handler skills, and coaching people to make great handling and training decisions to build a confident and motivated dog. Liz has also trained, competed, and instructed in a range of other dog sports you might know her from TOADS agility classes! Classes will be held on Tuesday nights at Muzzle to Muscle, 251 Ingham Road and run as a six week course. Our next intake starts on Tuesday the 19th at 6:30pm. Dogs must be fully vaccinated to participate and must be comfortable waiting their turn in a crate. Nosework classes are suitable for many shy, anxious and reactive dogs. Bookings are essential as places are limited. Contact [email protected] for more information or to make a booking.

06.01.2022 Last chance to sign up for tomorrow's ongoing Nosework class! At this point it will all be one-on-one sessions - get assigned a time-slot, show up, run your dog and head home! $15 for your first dog, $10 for additional dogs, starting from 6:45pm. I really want this to be accessible to every dog, so if your dog has three legs, is anxious, is reactive, isn't crate trained - it doesn't matter, you can come along and have fun! It is designed for dogs and handlers who have alrea...dy done my introductory course or equivalent, but if there's something stopping you from doing the intro course get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you. Sign up using the form below, or leave a comment or message me if you have questions!
