25.01.2022 INTRODUCING YOUR DOG TO OTHER DOGS As part of canine life there will many opportunities (some invited, some uninvited) for your dog to meet other dogs when they are out and about or even at home. Introducing your pet to new friends in the right way will prevent any problems such as aggression, and territorial behaviours associated with making new introductions.... ~ Neutral meeting point When introducing two dogs for the first time it is always a good idea for the meeting to occur in a neutral area. Bringing a new puppy home or a family or friend's dog into your pet's backyard may arouse anti-social, territorial behaviours. We suggest the local park or a walk on neutral ground as a good place for a first encounter. ~ On the lead Until both dogs are at ease with one another, keep them both on leads and under continued supervision. Once they have become familiar with each other, generally over several meetings, the leads can be removed. This approach may seem a little cautious to some, but this is only in the best interest of your dog or puppy. ~ Accidents are often 'for life' 'Accidents' that occur at a young age are likely to scar your puppy's memory for life, causing lifelong behavioural problems. We often see the unfortunate side of problem canine encounters, with very friendly or young dogs being involved. This does not mean you should avoid opportunities to socialise your dogs with others but knowing something about the temperament of another dog can be useful. Having canine pals to play with is just one of many things most dogs look forward to, and the relationships they have are an important part of being a happy, well rounded dog with a great attitude! ~ Food bowls When introducing a new puppy or having a play date, ensure food bowls, bones etc are removed and out of reach. Avoid leaving bowls of food or uneaten meals out, as this can lead to an accident with food aggressive behaviours. Its not advised to feed multi housed dogs unsupervised.

07.01.2022 I am an ANKC breeder. I spend a lifetime learning pedigrees, going over dogs, talking and learning from those in my breed and those outside it. I raise each litter as if I gave birth to them and spend an equal amount of time finding them loving forever homes. I only put puppies on this planet that I think will be the healthiest (mentally and physically) and nicest examples of their breed. I support each family who choses one of my puppies and let them know they are now a part... of our extended family. I am there if one needs to come back and will aggressively pursue the return of one of my dogs if its in the wrong place. I support my breed in rescue and education. I hold them when they arrive and leave this world, not only my own, but my brethren in the fancy. I share my knowledge and socialise my dogs so that they will be the advertisement for my dedication. I show my dogs so that I know I am not just bias, or kennel blind. 01.01.2022 B U Y E R B E W A R E It has come to our attention that plenty of SCAMS are present in this current pandemic situation using the public & border restrictions. Some tips to ensure you are purchasing the real deal & not just passing money via the internet to a scammer when trying to buy a pet.... Make sure you research & source the puppy yourself. Do not respond to someone that looks fake offering you a puppy via Facebook. Do not transfer funds at first instant to someone without knowing they actually exist as a actual real person, having actual puppies to sell, that they are a registered breeder eg. Breeders Prefix, BIN registered on the bio security website to secure a puppy. Ask if you can view the puppy/ies either in person or via a video call to ensure they actually have puppies that will be available to take home. Do not transfer funds to someone who can not associate a real name or breeders identification number, or kennel prefix. Ask to provide ANKC membership number/prefix & then contact their state canine controlling body to ensure the membership is financial & active. Only transfer funds via bank account or PayID once you know your seller is legit. No reputable breeder will ask you to deposit cash via atm, PayPal, western union etc. or not knowing who you are to sell one of their beloved puppies/pets, nor will they sell via social media message, gumtree, or text, nor will they ask you for a deposit straight up in the first conversation.
