23.01.2022 Lots of plants here at The Buderim Garden Club Festival at the Buderim War Memorial Hall on King Rd. Great time for planting natives now after all the rain

21.01.2022 Native Plants of QLD Samford Plant show was packed on Saturday. 1000 people came to buy plants, sold half the plants I took.

19.01.2022 The vegie garden is growing so fast with lots of different vegies, so many yummy meals to make

18.01.2022 Lemon myrtle a medium sized tree that can be pruned. The flowers attract many bees and the leaves have a beautiful lemon fragrance that goes beautifully in tea or dried and blended into a powder it can be added to cooking, sausages, face creams, soaps and so much more. The smell is uplifting and just so beautiful you just can't get enough. I have three 1mtr trees only in the nursery ready to go. They are slow growing so the size of these trees will give you an instant supply of leaves for cooking

18.01.2022 Diploglottis campbellii Small-leaved Tamarind Makes the best jam. High in Vit C and antioxidants. Lovely 8-12mtr tree. I have plenty of these in the nursery

16.01.2022 My newish vegie garden is now overflowing with vegies Broccoli, spinich, 4 types of lettuce, watermelon raddishes, beetroot, Japanese spinich, squash, parsley, chillies, rhubarb its so nice walking out to the garden to get ingredients for dinner.

12.01.2022 An exotic plant called sheenas gold is toxic to dogs, the berries can kill your dog if it eats them. People use this as hedges, it's not native and spreads through rain forests and conservation areas - change to a beautiful native lillypilly hedge. You will be glad that you did. Syzygium Australe, syzygium leumanhii, are both bush tucker native plants and make great hedges and jam. Even Antidesma erostre which grows to 1.5-2mtrs and 3mtrs wide is a good screen and provides berries twice a year that taste a bit like blue berries. Tree Frog Native Nursery has these plants in stock Ring for opening times. Open Mondays from 9am Photo is Syzygium alliligneum Onionwood also a bush tucker food

11.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone who picked up rubbish on Clean Up Australia Day. We collected 3 bags of bottles which the Lions Club took with them for recycling, helps them raise funds to help others, 3 bags of rubbish which may not seem like much but when you count the hundreds of micro pieces of plastic, cigarette foil and butts, bottle tops its a lot of rubbish that we have prevented in going out to the ocean. Did you know that 70% of our oxygen on earth comes from the algae and plants in the ocean, makes it quite important to keep rubbish from entering this vast expanse of water that provides life on earth. Very special thanks to the Lions Club for helping on the day, Mooloolah Meats for providing delicious sausages for the barbe and Mooloolah IGA for their generous donation of food for the barbeque.

01.01.2022 The Government should postpone the local election on Saturday Mass crowds- they are contradicting themselves. NZealand is in total lockdown for 4 weeks, everyone getting a payment, bank loans and mortgages frozen and only one person to go and get food to stop the spread of tge virus and shut it down, our government is not doing enough
