24.01.2022 Let us raise awareness for men’s health We can all start by actively encouraging the men and boys in our lives to seek support for their mental and physical health. Let us reassure them that reaching out is a sign of strength , not weakness #menshealthweek #menshealth #itsokaynottobeokay #firstaid #treeoflifetraining

22.01.2022 For fellow Melburnians, as of this Thursday, face masks will be mandatory when you leave the house. Please check Dan Andrew’s government announcement as of this... morning for further advice. This post is to no way instill panic or anxiety or to push for our masks to be sold. You can even wrap a scarf around your face or any cloth if you do not have a mask available. We still have masks in stock and will have more stock arriving from next Monday 27th July. It’s very difficult for sellers to reach people. It’s only word of mouth or sharing a post like this, as paid ads are banned. Please do your best to reserve medical-grade masks for our frontline workers and reduce the amount of plastic landfill. All sales of Acala Stem’s face masks are not-for-profit. All profits are re-invested back into employment here in Australia, and employment, training and equipment in Cambodia. Stay safe everyone x

21.01.2022 STRANGULATION The reflexes of babies and young children are not well developed, and their bodies are not yet strong. This makes it hard for them to get themselves out of trouble quickly and safely. Some tips to prevent strangulation:... 1. Choose age-appropriate toys that are well made. 2. Do not attach cords or ribbons to dummies. 3. Keep hanging mobiles and decorations out of reach. 4. Do not allow children to play with balloons unsupervised. 5. Where possible use rods instead of cords for curtains and blinds. If you do have cords, attach to wall with safety device well out of reach of children. 6. When dressing children avoid ties, ribbons, and necklaces. 7. Always remove bibs before putting babies and young children to bed, in the pram and in their car seat. REMEMBER If your child becomes unconscious and their breathing is irregular call an ambulance and start CPR * * * * * #firstaid #cpr #paediatricfirstaid #paediatricfirstaidtraining #treeoflifetraining #safetyfirst #safety

08.01.2022 Donate Life Week With more than 1,600 Australians currently on the list for a life saving transplant, it has never been more important to register to become an organ and tissue donor. The majority of Australians believe it is important to be an organ and tissue donor however only 1 in 3 are actually registered! Here at Tree of Life we believe it would be beneficial to everyone if Australia had an opt out system for organ donation rather than opt in but until that happens, if you want to be an organ and tissue donor then please please make sure you’re registered. #DonateLife #DonateLifeWeek #DonateLifeWeek2020 #treeoflifetraining #firstaidtraining
