19.01.2022 I haven’t always been the type of person who focuses on the positives and blessings in life. Before I started practicing yoga almost six years ago I was quite a negative person due to circumstances out of my control. Practicing and teaching yoga has taught me to become the type of person to point out the positive rather than focus on the negative in most situations. If you try hard enough you can find a positive in any situation. Same goes for blessings. 13.01.2022 Childs pose is my favourite pose for emotional support and stress relief. It’s no surprise that this year has been full of hard times, heartache and stress! The thing I love most about childs pose is you can do it anywhere. You don’t need a fancy mat, outfit or even yoga experience. Anytime you feel you need a bit of stillness, relaxation and stress relief, all you need to do is come onto all fours, lower your body, stretch out your arms, relax your... shoulders and rest in the pose as long as you need! Yoga helps to open up certain parts of your body to release pent up emotions, frustrations and worries. 10.01.2022 I haven’t shared much in this space about what is happening in the world right now, because there’s more than enough negativity and sadness surrounding it to go around. It can cause stress, anxiety, depression, fear and so many negative emotions that we may or may not be used to. Practicing mindfulness and meditation is a great way to find some space in the chaos. There are so many ways you can practice mindfulness and medication without doing a physical yoga practice. Fin...d a quiet space in your home or outside on the grass, sit in a comfortable position and practice some breathing techniques. Take a big inhale to fill up your lungs and let it all out with an exhale. Set an intention at the start of each day. This intention could be to practice gratitude, be gentle in yourself, or to take some time out for just yourself. Write down what you’re grateful for each day and make sure it is different from day to day. Journal your thoughts and feelings, this can help by accepting how you feel and not trying to change that feeling. Positive thinking is hard especially during this time but one way to do this is when you have a negative thought, make sure you acknowledge and accept that thought and then try think of something positive. There is always something positive in any situation. Take time to empty the mind and let it be still I truly hope you are keeping well and safe during this time. Remember, I am always here for a listening ear if you need!

For me self care has always been taking time out for myself, either reading a book, reading poetry, a yoga practice, going for a walk, listening to a podcast, a face mask or just doing what my body feels it really needs. This is even more important when you are a busy mum or just a busy person in general. But mums tend to put everyone else’s needs above their own including self care. Even since becoming a mum I have prioritise...d self care even more. I can’t pour from an empty cup! I will always been a strong believer in having a good self care routine. By incorporating self-care activities into your regular routine, you give your body and mind time to rest, reset, and rejuvenate, so you can avoid or reduce the symptoms of stress and anxiety. 07.01.2022 Goodmorning beautiful people I thought it was time for me to touch base with you all and let you know what is happening. As you know I have started my little yoga business recently and started offering classes for friends & family. I absolutely love teaching yoga and meditation; however it is time that I take a step back, practice isolation to keep my family and everyone else safe around me. As it has been advised by the government that gym, pilates, and yoga studios close u...p to help prevent the spread of this virus, I have decided to stop doing in person yoga classes for now. I will DEFINITELY be up and running again once we overcome this hurdle. I’m not sure when that will be but I’ll definitely keep you updated. I will be sharing tips on how to create your own yoga and meditation space at home, yoga sequences you can do at home, breathing exercises, and mindful meditation you can do during this difficult time. Remember that your mental health is extremely important and during this difficult time it can be extra fragile. It is important than ever to look after our minds and bodies. Please if you can, stay home as much as you can. Don’t go out unless you absolutely must. Even if you don’t have symptoms, you can still spread this virus. So please, please just stay home, it is the best way we can prevent the spread of this virus and keep people safe. Use this time to just be by yourself, read books, watch movies, bake, and just take some time to rest and let your mind be still. The nurses and doctors are under a lot of pressure right now and they need us to listen to this advice. Please if you are feeling down or need someone to talk to, my inbox is always open and I’m happy to chat! Please look after yourselves. Yoga and meditation is a great way to ease stress and focus on what is important. For now let’s me grateful that we have our health and that our families are all together and safe. It is too risky and the most important thing to do right now is practice social distancing and keep your family safe.
