18.01.2022 A Farmer in Central Victoria sent us some photos the other day, showing the benefit of abundant pasture production due to a windbreak that provides protection of the land and the stock. These trees and seedlings were grown by TreeProject Volunteers. The trees in the background were planted in 2004! The little calf was named Covid!

07.01.2022 Ever wondered what happens to all the planting tubes after our trees are planted in the ground? The usuable tubes are recycled by our hardworking volunteers at our socially distanced Work Sessions! The tubes are separated and sorted (cracked and unusable ones are thrown in a recycling bin), then they are soaked in large vats of soap and bleach, then pressure cleaned until they are sparkling! Then they are repacked in bags for our next distribution in December. It takes weeks of hard work to get everything ship shape for distribution.

02.01.2022 Michelle and Peter recently planted out their newly named property Manna Views (ooh fancy) with trees, shrubs and grasses! The TreeProject grown seedlings were planted along an exposed tributary which will eventually provide shelter for stock, habitat for wildlife and improved water quality. This was part of the Yarra Ranges Council Ribbons of Green initiative.
