25.01.2022 Weve all gotta try to embrace the silver linings of being in lockdown for a short while, staying at home with family is something Ive been hanging out for. Spending some quality time with your sons and daughters - if you are in a situation like mine of course. But even just embracing the time to get to know our neighbours down the road amongst us, who we normally dont make much time for around work and family commitments, ... the crazy dogs that roam your street - the birds and the trees in your every day views. Bask in it whilst you can; As these moments may not last - and the hustle will be back with a vengeance

25.01.2022 Benny Riggjns picking apart some gnarly dead pine poles.... Like craning off big pieces of sponge cake!

24.01.2022 Doing our part to clear the local roads on Thursday morning before helping worried home owners with their heaved trees, yet to fall. 3 small teams out working till dark, clearing roads and dealing with the hung up trees. Will be 7 days without power for us but many others in much worse situations

24.01.2022 Bens first crane job- swinging from point to point, lifting 7 cypresses out from inside a chicken coop. Pretty cool I reckon - time is precious, why waste it dragging a million small pieces of a chicken coop. #treework #cranework #arbcrane #cranearborist #arboristsofinstagram #arboristlife #treeclimber #bandit #stihl #petzl @ Macclesfield, Victoria

19.01.2022 The next 6 weeks Ill spend at home isolating with these two Rascals, plus @adayinthelifekaylo of course.... doing house work and garden stuff - trying to train the kids to sleep, the dogs to calm down.... and to somehow protect my food from being stolen by everyone else in the house! Good to iron out a few things that we normally have to put on the back burner when the work life is kicking off ... Hope everyone else out there is enjoying their time at home, reach out if not - most of you can find my phone number pretty easy if you need to vent

18.01.2022 Just one of the trees down local to us, from last nights aftermath Hope everyone is safe

18.01.2022 My partner in crime since 15 years of age (She’s a smooth blend for sure)

17.01.2022 The last tree has fallen.... (after the other half had fallen on its own in the night!) @the_fabulous_hudson_hornet was the assassin who put the suffering tree to rest.... Now we rest and fight the storms only. #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong #sendit #justgonnasendit #treeremoval #felling #treefelling #treeclimbers

16.01.2022 Gotta work together as a team to make things run smoothly. No matter what your role in the crew is, its an integral cog in the machine that you are all driving. Big each other up, pull your own weight and show support to your fellow workmates - the guys below you and the guys above. #treework #teamwork #treeclimbing #arborist #arboristsofinstagram #arboristlife #dandenongranges #mountainlife #mountainwork

16.01.2022 Dont rate my hinge...... Had to bore into the scarf to be able to pull the pieces of timber out in manageable sections. Using my favourite quarter cut, had to cut this through one side to help turn it away from the house with it being on a heavy side lean. ... Using wedges and a 20t bottle jack on one side and a 6t excavator on the other Did the trick but its not pretty.... Ill have to post up some pretty cuts next time! #stihl #stihl880 #stihlpower #timber #treefalling #treefelling #treework #treeclimber #arborist #arboristsofinstagram #arboristlife

16.01.2022 Removing this hung up Mt Grey Gum, from one property into another. Just one of many sketchy situations over the last two or three days. More next week

15.01.2022 Madness... Gratitude to all the, workers, good samaritans, community support and emergency services out there helping with the storms (some working till 11pm that I spoke to today).... Some very hardy and positive home owners out there too who have suffered from this chaos.

15.01.2022 Just some speedline fun.....

15.01.2022 Good morning to all the cows in Macclesfield

15.01.2022 Nice heavy prune on this Globulus yesterday: Keeping it real, and turning trees pretty again. Weight reducing large branches that over hang the house and car parking area. And taking some pine branches off in a confined space.... Lovely job. Another happy customer #treework #pruning #eucalyptus #climbingarborist #climbing #climb #arborist #arboristsofinstagram

14.01.2022 Finally another big job finished... We get there in the end!

13.01.2022 Remember: Dont crack under the pressure. Life will return to normality one day soon,... We are not normally in this situation - either stuck at home alone, unable to travel to see family and friends, celebrate special occasions of birth and marriage etc. Some families may have one partner at work even more than usual whilst the rest of family are all cooped up at home going stir crazy! But every day is a step closer back to the way we are used to living, maybe now with more appreciated and gratitude toward eachother. Challenge yourself to find peace in times like these

13.01.2022 Tree Range Arborists Pty Ltd: Crew shot - (missing one though) One of our last days of work before working became prohibited unless for emergency reasons. We are fortunate and grateful to be involved in some of the local storm work, but otherwise its quite a sad time for many other businesses and employees out there. In and out of our industry. ... Normal working life before Covid seems to feel like a story in a history book somewhere. I hope its not far off that things come back around and we can go back to normal life, for businesses, schools, kids, mothers of young children, employees, friends, engaged couples ready to be married....Everyone!!!

13.01.2022 Crew Profile: Here he is.... Tyler Aka ‘Tyler Durden’ pictured doing a heavy prune and about to winch a Mt Ash log perfectly onto the ground with smooth control, assuring the climber is safe from unexpected forces An aspiring champion fighter and arborist,... When I first employed him, I thought he was just a gun groundy who could operate excavators and skid steers with finesse and ferocity. However he has proven already to be a rocket up the tree, specialising in quick removals and productivity. Studies extra curricular Arboriculture to upskill himself behind the scenes - already more than competent in both SRT and DRT rope skills, natural target pruning , dynamic bracing and rigging - despite being young in his career. He’s also our equipment maintenance coordinator, getting into work early to make sure the saws are sharp and ready to cut through the timber He’s an absolute gent, makes everyone laugh every day and lifts the spirit around the crew with his ‘can do’ attitude. Nothing is too difficult for this kid... Keep up the good work dude

13.01.2022 Teamwork makes the Dream Work.... The Climber isnt stressed, lowers the head of the tree down, knows the ground crew will run the ropes smoothly not to shock the system. Ground team always looking out for the climber, making sure their lines are not crossed- theres nothing theyve missed, ... the climber is safe and sound before and after each piece is rigged down and folded into the chipper. The ropes are away from the machinery. All under control

10.01.2022 That mistake when you press the record button at the wrong times, just after youve done something cool.... But maybe its quite cool just to see a bit of the in between stuff now and then anyway?

09.01.2022 I knew Spider-Man had been around this area recently.... Cables and power lines down everywhere, masked villains We caught up with him, gave him a job to help us out with some of the work his super abilities ...

09.01.2022 Happy to finally have a decent set of Helmet Comms to allow for safer and easier work. Makes for much smoother rigging and controlled winching of heavy sections, good to know the ground crew have heard you well, we know that usually mistakes stem from misunderstandings. Have used different ones in the past but definitely thing these Sena ones are definitely worth the hype.... Stay safe guys and girls

09.01.2022 Last view of the day before the Blizzard came and nearly froze my nuts off.... Rigging down the head of a gnarly Radiata in the cold winds and snow. Help me!... #justgonnasendit See more

08.01.2022 3 x 10 tonne rigging lines rigged up, 3 x 60m climbing lines, 3 untouched fences below My finest ballet shoes and the finest of ground crews. And a hand winch to crack this hung up Mountain Grey in half once I had done my sketchy felling cut halfway through the length of the tree.... 07.01.2022 Nothing like when a customer and their kind children make you and the crew a good scran for lunch three days in a row! Cant remember the last time I seen hospitality and generosity quite like that, awesome family. Community ... #gratitude #gratitudeattitude #thanks #goodfood

06.01.2022 Good luck out there home owners during this crazy weather we have just experienced. Tomorrow when its daylight - take a good stroll around the property and look up in the canopy of the trees close to your high use areas and property - check the trees are still standing straight as you left them! (Not that theyve had one too many drinks ) Even the big trees across the road and could be in striking distance - to make a call your local council if anything looks a bit suspect.... If you need our help with anything- give us a call and we will be on the road Good luck

05.01.2022 A Natural prop installation today on this poor Apple tree with a couple of cracks showing up in the stem... Steel Rod installation too for the cracks of course!

05.01.2022 Always clear the rigging path below - clear your stubs etc. instead of trying your luck with it, try to allow for human error and think what will happen if you hit a big piece of deadwood with a branch you’re rigging down... In this case, would have certainly damaged a stretch of new wire fencing... ... Can still take the shortcut if you can zip down the SRT Batman line!

03.01.2022 Crazy times in 2020. The year that took us all by storm...

02.01.2022 An insightful post written by a mate who runs his own business also, We are two quite different companies operating in different areas which can change the variables when quoting work... for instance tree species and size plus the type of land out here can be typically very different to suburban blocks in terms of access. In a nutshell I price things based on what machinery, and what quantity of good workers required to do the job - and for what amount of time for each of th...ose. Whether the time is trimming a hedge, reversing a truck, mulching branches or rigging a Mountain ash to down safely. It all takes time.... and unfortunately for everyone including myself, costs us money! So thanks for this Josh and hope business is well, Hope sharing this will serve you well

02.01.2022 Tree Work: Whats it going to cost??? A question on the tip of our tongues, for clients and arborists - We often have an assumption of being overly expensive.... But for business owners, our costs go beyond that particular job; In order to sustain a business that can be out there helping others with their dangerous trees, we need the funds to have the right (expensive!) gear for our work, maintain that equipment, insure that equipment and replenish it when it’s over used to be safe and efficient for future work. A good business will spend time and money ‘upskilling’ and training their workforce - offsite, onsite or in a classroom environment - Making sure they have the best chance of getting home each day in one piece. Covering all of us with workcover and other insurances, fair rates of pay, taxes and a pension fund. The right guys also pay the appropriate insurances to keep your property covered and anyone who may be visiting or at home that day also! Our bodies and minds take a solid beating from physical and mental stress, repetitive strain from hauling ourselves and our equipment up trees and squeezing triggers all day long, keeping focused every moment during a tricky high risk job to ensure our risks are calculated and backed up by our science and education. One high risk job can cost us our body’s normal functioning ability, our minds, our sleep, but could also have worse and more final consequences if fate has it that way. But we love our job and it’s worth every penny! Don’t undercut yourself, don’t sell yourself short... and work safe!

02.01.2022 Dear Clients and our community, Its time to put the tools down and take a well deserved rest, we have all been hustling hard since COVID-19 affected our jurisdictions. We are happy to announce that we are ceasing all domestic work from Thursday onwards, excepting emergency work only of course. ... Its important we all take this time off, to support the health of our community, younger and elderly companions. I dont believe our income is more important than anyone elses or than that of the public health. Emergency Situations can be pre-emptive, a large crack that has opened up, or a torn out branch hanging above your home and waiting to do damage, and can also be post damage - insurance based. If your tree looks anything like the attached photos, then you have an emergency!! - and we will help you, (that same day if we can). However, If your tree looks the same as it did 2 months ago and has happily stood for last 50 years - It will have to wait an other 6 weeks unfortunately. But dont worry! Any of the work I have quoted recently or booked in, that I feel is definitely an urgent matter - you will be notified that I feel this is something that needs sorting. Thank you for your patience and for doing your part for the community also. Enjoy the rest and lets get back to the slow life for now.

01.01.2022 Here is one company that I love, @siritheagency ... The digital marketing and strategies experts, they really helped our business hit the ground running when we launched and business has been strong since the beginning. From website and logo design and branding, and then ongoing support throughout the journey - they use their minds and brainstorm to reach the results suited to their individual clients specific needs. I reckon thats rare... Theres so many cookie cutter di...gital agencies out there that dont care about making your business individual to stand out from the rest. Very grateful to have these guys behind the scenes #digitalagency #digitalmarketing #business #companysupport #online #treework #treebiz #arborist
