25.01.2022 With the recent rain and good weather NOW is a good time to be planting, to help reduce the need for people to be leaving their homes we're offering FREE DELIVERY within Albury/ Wodonga on the purchase of our advanced trees from today (April 1, 2020), surrounding regions have been included in this offer but to see if this is applicable to you please call Sandra on 0437 543 471. Our nursery is open but during these unprecedented times we are doing our best to adapt each day t...o keep our business operating. Due to the developments and recommendations regarding COVID19 we've made some changes to how we conduct business here to protect our customers and staff. This includes restricting the number of people visiting the nursery to a maximum of two per staff member. If you are wanting to visit the nursery we would recommend that you call the office to schedule a time to ensure we can provide you with the assistance you require. It has a uniform, upright vase shape canopy with bright green leaves in spring/summer before turning coppery red in autumn. This Japanese Elm is resistant to the dreaded Elm Leaf Beetle. Chinese Elm 'Burnley Select' An absolutely stunning tree for any garden, the Ulmus parvifolia 'Burnley Select' originates from the Burnley Campus of Melbourne University. This cultivar of Chinese Elm is a smaller, attractive shade tree reaching an average height of 9 metres and a canopy width of 7 metres. This cultivar of Chinese Elm has a more upright form making it an excellent feature in your garden. A semi-deciduous tree with small glossy green lea...ves that turn yellow and red during Autumn. Mottled color variations of green, orange, brown and grey are revealed when the bark exfoliates which on rainy days such as today these colors are more vibrant and aesthetically appealing. Not a large tree making it suitable for smaller homes that want a gorgeous feature tree that provides good shade through to larger acreage properties as either a single tree or an avenue. 23.01.2022 Tree of the week ..... Ornamental Pear 'Cleveland Select' An absolutely stunning form from the Ornamental Pear family whether as a single tree or an avenue planting. When people think of an Ornamental Pear they tend to think of the Manchurian Pear, we don't grow this species at our nursery because of the poor branch unions that result in significant limb failures when the trees reach maturity. The Cleveland Select is similar in appearance but a structurally better tree. This... species is a moderate to fast growing tree (depending on the soil and climatic conditions) and can grow to approximately 10-12 metres and the canopy can spread to about 6-7 metres giving an attractive pyramidal shape. Drought and frost tolerant and suitable to either full sun or part shade. With clusters of gorgeous white flowers during Spring followed by dark green, glossy leaves during Spring and Summer and then a kaleidoscope of yellow, orange and red leaves during Autumn these trees are a stunning addition to any garden. Growing approximately 3m x 1.3m but can be pruned even lower and narrower, making it a great screen for tight areas. Excellent frost tolerance and drought hardy too. 16.01.2022 This week we said goodbye to the last of our 100 litre Acer rubrum 'October Glory' and our Pyrus calleryana 'Capital' trees that we've been growing for the last few years for the High Street upgrade. From what we've seen so far the streetscape is looking amazing and a credit to Stuart Gordon Landscaping and the City of Wodonga, we can't wait to see how it looks when the trees break dormancy in Spring.

07.01.2022 TREE OF THE WEEK Lagerstroemia 'Tuscarora' is a brilliant Crepe Myrtle with dark pink flowers blooming from January to April. With a vase shape growth habit to approximately 4-6m x 3-4m, dark green leaves turning dark red in autumn and resistance to powdery mildew, makes 'Tuscarora' an attractive addition to any garden. Our Crepe Myrtles are grown in single trunk form. Available in 8L currently approx. 900mm tall and 45L approx. 1.5m tall.

02.01.2022 TREE SALES PLANT OF THE WEEK ..... Have an area you'd love to screen but the space is limited and you don't want something that will grow too tall? Then this weeks plant of the week is just what you're looking for. The Callistemon 'Four Seasons' is a compact, medium sized shrub that only grows to approximately 1.8-2.2 metres in height but is only 1-1.5 metres wide. This makes an excellent alternative to fencing providing privacy but with the flush of light green, pendulous fo...liage and bright coral red flowers they are extremely attractive, particularly when mass planted. Drought and frost tolerant this species is well suited to our climatic conditions, and being low maintenance - very helpful if you're time poor or not an avid gardener.
