21.01.2022 Introducing the first ever Treescape apprentice, @christine.n.nguyen When it comes to first year apprentices all I can really ask for is someone who is enthusiastic, switched on and has good work ethic. Christine has all of those and then some. I put her on what was supposed to be a 2 week trial. Signed her up after the second day. She's going to be one to watch in the industry. Stoked to have her on board

16.01.2022 Bit of framing for this shop extension/renovation in Malvern. Yeah those 290x45 LVLs are not light. Who needs CrossFit when you're a chippy! P.S. how good has this weather been!

11.01.2022 All wrapped up. Well, almost. Waiting for some 190 x 32mm boards to arrive for the border. We put a couple of coates of @cutek_global to protect from the harsh Aussie elements. Shoutout to Trent @beechjesus for showing this old dog a few new deck laying tricks. My old boss used to say "There's two ways to do things. My way and the wrong way". My old boss was a wanker. I've since learnt there are many ways to do almost anything and as soon as you think you know it all, you stop learning.

11.01.2022 Welcoming the newest addition to the Treescape family. @sawstop_australia jobsite table saw. Terrible saw for cutting hotdogs but great with timber. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Sawstop were the inventors of the "flesh detection technology". Basically, if your hand comes in to contact with the blade it engages a brake which stops the blade and makes it disappear underneath the table in a fraction of a second. Turning a potentially life changing injury in to just a scratch. I contemplated the jump in price between this and other saws for a while but I kept coming back to the thought that if it saves one finger in it's lifetime it's well worth it.
