If you recently had a breast screen appointment cancelled, BreastScreen Queensland will be in contact with you to schedule a new appointment. The decision to recommence screening supports women to access this important free health service, where it is safe to do so. Eligible women who have any concerns about attending screening at this time are... encouraged to talk with their doctor about whether breast screening is right for you. 13.01.2022 As of 31 March, BreastScreen Queensland has temporarily suspended routine breast screening appointments to safeguard the health of clients, staff and our community from the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision has been made to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread and free up capacity in the health care system. Existing breast screen appointments will be cancelled, with no new bookings made at this time. BreastScreen Queensland will contact impacted clients directly and reschedule ...or book appointments once screening resumes. Clients who have recently had a breast screen will receive results as usual. Services remain open for women who are asked to return for additional tests. Women are urged to remain aware of the normal look and feel of their breasts and contact their doctor immediately if any changes are noticed. BreastScreen Queensland would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Frontline for Hair and John the Barber will remain open at this stage with restrictions in place (30 minutes for each appointment).
