20.01.2022 Work today was a challenge as we were asked to remove this Tree we had previously lopped. Unfortunately the root system was causing damage to the house. We removed some of the limbs from the branch area and then felled the log onto a large tractor tyre. We wanted to save the log for milling but it was just too heavy for the hiab so it was cut into manageable pieces(under 2 tonnes) and taken away for slabbing at a later date. Measuring 1.5 metres at the base it will make some great slabs.Stump grinding to follow.

19.01.2022 Heavy wind today blew half of this tree down The logs were cut into long lengths and the shorter trunks are off to Steale and Wood to be turned into stools and out door coffee table settings. The hiab truck designed to carry logs for milling.

15.01.2022 Work this week has been on a large scale The marri was unfortunately rotten at the base so was in danger of falling on the historic cottage. The lemon scented gum and the jarrah had dropped limbs recently so ad to be lopped for safety. The change in weather sometimes brings about this event.

14.01.2022 The two goal posts were Norfolk pines that were in a small back yard which backed on to Burns Beach Rd in Joondalup. The logs were craned over the rear fence by our 8 tonne hiab for upcycling.

06.01.2022 This lemon scented gum was removed from a yard in Balga The wood is hard to work with as it splits easily. As the weight of the canopy is removed ,the trunk tension profile changes and it starts to split. The noise can be quite loud and unnerving when you are climbing. Also ,more million dollar views!
