25.01.2022 Day 4 on the Cape to Cape Track in WA. Spectacular scenery from beaches to forest 14km

22.01.2022 This is heartbreaking to read. Toolangi is an incredibly beautiful area where we go walking on many occasions. When will this madness end?

21.01.2022 This photo is taken along the incredible Kokoda Track. This is a photo of the village of Alola. It shows you how remote these villages are along the track and how steep and rough the terrain is. Having said that, walking the Kokoda Track is a bucket list trek for sure.

21.01.2022 Larapinta Trail - 3rd to 8th September, 2021. Join Trekfit Australia on this iconic Australian trek. https://trekfitpersonaltraining.com.au//p/larapinta-trail/

19.01.2022 It is great to see so many people out hiking and enjoying the beautiful outdoors now that Victoria's restrictions are easing. We are putting the final touches to our 2021 training walk schedule and that should be ready very soon. There are a couple of spots left on our Great Ocean Walk trek in February, so if you are interested jump on the link below and book yourself in. ... https://trekfitpersonaltraining.com.au//pr/upcoming-treks/

16.01.2022 This is excellent news for those amazing old growth forests that we love.

14.01.2022 The Great Ocean Walk along Victoria's rugged coastline is one that needs to be on everyone's bucket list. You experience incredible coastal views that cannot be seen from the road. This photo is a favourite as it is a very long staircase that is part of a section of the track known as "the roller coaster".

14.01.2022 Day 2 on the Cape to Cape Track in WA. Walking from Smith’s Beach to Moses Rocks 14km. Beautiful rocks, beaches and a nice sand dune climb to get off the beach.

14.01.2022 We are back up and trekking! With the easing of restrictions we have made the decision to kick start our training walks for the remainder of this year. At this point we are limited to only 9 trekkers, plus your Guide and we must stick to this number until advised otherwise. When things do change we will adjust the numbers accordingly. ... We are pretty excited to get back out into the bush after such a long break. Here is a link to our website with the details of all walks scheduled for 2020. https://trekfitpersonaltraining.com.au//pr/training-walks/

11.01.2022 This is a timely reminder on keeping safe while we out enjoying the great outdoors.

10.01.2022 We thought we might spend this week reminding ourselves of the amazing treks that we did in 2019 and bring those memories flooding back and make everyone happy. Today's photo is our 2019 Mt Kilimanjaro trek and we are all smiles because we had reached the summit of the World's Highest freestanding mountain. It was pretty cold even with the blue sky in the background.

09.01.2022 We hope everyone is doing ok and staying safe in these uncertain times. TrekFit Australia have officially postponed all of our overseas treks for 2020. We will bounce back bigger and better for 2021. Our training walks are also on hold for the time being. Hopefully we can get them back up and running in a few months. Our Great Ocean Walk in November is still going ahead at this point in time. ... While all of this uncertainty has been unfolding, we have been working hard to develop a training program that you can do from home. It is important for our physical and mental health that we keep moving and keep working on our fitness. The program has 2 strength sessions and 1 cardio session per week. Each session can be done with our without weights, so if you don't have any equipment that won't matter. Have a look here on this link. https://trekfitpersonaltraining.com.au//trek-training-pro/

08.01.2022 We hope everyone is getting out for some form of exercise each day. It has been a little bit chilly in Melbourne and it is easy to try and talk ourselves out of a daily walk. Thinking about when we are out trekking, we don't stop for a day because it's cold or wet, which just keep going. In fact when we climb Mt Kilimanjaro, we head off in the very early hours on the day and walk in freezing conditions to reach the summit by sunrise. What we do have is warm sensible clothin...g suitable for the conditions. So even if it is chilly outside, rug up and get yourself out there. Enjoy that blustery wind on your face and feel your mood lift. See more

06.01.2022 This footage from a few days ago shows a group of hikers in Brisbane Glasshouse Mountains being rescued after getting into trouble. Unfortunately, they do seem to be making a joke of the situation, probably not realizing what a dangerous situation they were in. It prompted us here at TrekFit Australia to remind everyone about the importance of safety when you are out trekking or hiking. Even a short day walk can go wrong. ... Please remember: 1) Always check the weather forecast for the area and carry appropriate clothing such as jackets and over pants. 2) Know the area that you are walking in. If you don't know the track, then do your research about the track conditions and difficulty. There are some great websites that give you detailed information on walking tracks. 3) Have an emergency plan and know what you are going to do if you get into trouble. 4) Your mobile phone may or may not get reception where you are, so carry a backup such as an emergency locator beacon. Safety must be first priority when getting out and enjoying our beautiful National Parks. If you need any safety or training tips, please let us know.

05.01.2022 Today we wanted to share with you the beauty of sunrise on Mt Sonder on the Larapinta Trail, Northern Territory. We start climbing Mt Sonder at around 3am and it takes roughly 3 hours to get to the top. Once there, we wait for the incredible light show that sunrise offers in this beautiful part of Australia. The climb this year was pretty cold and windy, but once we were at the top the wind stopped and we were able to enjoy the incredible views.
