21.01.2022 So even on our 4 Day Glamping break I made time to go practice for a worthy cause. As many will now know, Trend Fitness has put together a team to raise money ...for the Cancer Council here in SA. We have jumped on board for the Longest Daty Golf Challenge. It is 72 holes (4 full rounds) in the same day. It is approx 45km and will take us approx 14hrs straight, no mean feat if you know golf. So come on all, dig into your pockets and sponsor us direct to raise as much as we can for a great cause. Nearly everyone has been touched by this crappy disease and it was 12 months ago my younger brother died from it, so I cannot think of a better way to celebrate his life after one year gone, than with a fund raiser to help those who need it. 06.01.2022 #ruokday2020 Sometimes life sneaks up on you and with everything going on in the world there have been some very Challenging times. As Gym owners we have strived to be the best we can be for our members and our Team, especially for those whose mental health has taken a hit, we have always endeavoured to offer our support and help anyone who actually asks for it and lets face it, exercise is the best medicine! Trouble is we have bad days ourselves, especially recently with th...e fallout from covid plus the issues that go hand in hand with trying to run a big team and making sure all of our members are okay and happy. We try to maintain that superhero front so we dont let anyone down and we forget about ourselves. But this week I was broken. I denied people the chance of helping me when I needed it because I thought I had to be strong for everyone and thought the best way was to show that I was superhuman. This week changed and when someone asked me if I was okay I said No for fucks sake Im not! And you know what? It felt good to admit it and I wish I had done it before because it allowed others to support me. This post is for everyone out there who when asked if theyre okay, just automatically say Im Fine I know the whole point of R U OK Is for others to dig a little deeper but how about you just give an honest answer once in a while and let people that care about you, help.
