12.01.2022 WORKING BEE CHANGE The Trentham environment program working bee planned for the Hill area on Friday September 25th has been postponed due to the inclement weather forecast. 11.01.2022 A great field (75 players) greeted the return of our Melbourne Metropolitan members following their 4 month Covid lockout in todays mid-week stableford. The best score of the day, 40 points was recorded by the B grade winner Mark Fisher (handicap 14). Barry Knowles (25) was the next best with 39 points, Barry won C grade. And the lockout had no impact on the form of Martin Walker(9) even though it took a count-back to declare him the A grade winner with 35 points. Good scores were also returned by Ian Cornthwaite 39 points and Kevin Sheedy and Les Healey with 38 points. Nearest the pins were won by John Trevillian (2nd), Mike Aston (5th), Chris Milne (13th), and John Goodman (15th).

10.01.2022 10 played in the chicken run tonight. Greg Lewis was the winner, he had a great score of 26 points. Runner up was Ross Jackson with 24 points. It was quite warm tonight, but conditions on the course are really great at the moment.

10.01.2022 62 players entered today's monthly medal, played in fine warm weather with the blustery winds the only detraction. The scores from the three grade winners reflected the conditions with A Grade won by Brenton Payne (7) with 69. Roger Cripps (16) was the B Grade winner with 67 and he lost the monthly medal on a countback from the C Grade winner and medalist Mike DeJong (27). 10.01.2022 There were some good social golf scores submitted for handicap this week. On Monday John Hudson (18) continued his run of good scores with 37 points. Max Pearman (27) had 35 points. Thirty-one players submitted scores on Thursday in reasonable conditions, and the best was Ross Jackson (23) with 39 points, followed by Brenton Payne (9) with 37 points.... Then the "Antarctic Blob" hit the region on Saturday, with temperatures close to zero, hail and some occasional snow flurries. Despite this, fourteen players actually played and completed their round. What's more, the scores submitted were really very good. Brenton Payne (9) had an amazing 41 points. He must have ice in his veins, maybe his customary shorts numb him to the cold. Three players submitted 36 points: Simon Ovenden (1), Graeme Smith (18) and Ross Jackson (23). John Goodman (17) had 35 points. The weather is looking better next week, but we think it's still going to be a long way from a "Tropical Blob"! The course needs to dry out. Let's hope we can get back to proper competitions for all members, with actual prizes, sometime in September.

07.01.2022 Again the weather gods played their part with today's 4 Ball being conducted in almost perfect conditions, this was reflected in the scoring with the pairing of Gary Middleton (14) and Mike DeJong (25) finishing with an excellent 51 points followed by the pair of Ken Anders and Neil Aplin on 50 points. 04.01.2022 Somehow the heavy band of rain that impacted southern Victoria didn't come as far north as Trentham, and today's social golfers played in ideal conditions with high cloud and little wind. 03.01.2022 The weather forecast lived up to it's reputation today starting out mild and windy followed by rain all afternoon however this did not deter our November Medallist and C Grade winner Bradley Nugent who finished with a nett 63 off a handicap of 25. Winner of the chocolates was Trish Mann with 15. NTP was Simon Ovenden on the 2nd.
