15.01.2022 All going well staff will return the office on Monday 29th We will then gradually reopen the centre and recommence groups, classes & activities from Mon July 6th. We will contact groups once we have assessed the sizes of our rooms & group numbers. We are still under room limit restrictions so some juggling will be required until the 4m2 rule changes. Due to space restrictions the Online Centre will be by appointment only to begin with.... Also due to limited space & social distancing requirements the opshop will remain closed for now. We appreciate your patience during this transition, it is uncharted territory & we have a lot of new requirements to comply with. Ensuring the continued health and safety of everyone is our main priority See more

12.01.2022 We are calling on the government to immediately provide the $1 million required for extra staff at the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service so they c...an keep up with the increasing demand for family violence support services in Tasmania. Today Jess Greene, Labor candidate for Rosevears and I were in the Brisbane Street Mall with our petition. It was great to see so much support from our community. Go to http://betterfairertasmania.com/support-family-violence-se/ to add your name to the petition.

12.01.2022 Please share & be vigilant. Scammers are getting more cunning & fake sites harder to distinguish from real ones... Better to phone the agency in question (even if it means being on hold for ages!) than to fall prey to scammers. Our lovely online centre folks can help you learn how to safely negotiate emails & the internet

08.01.2022 *** Aurora/TasNetworks Cable PI *** Do you have one of these at home/work? If not, why not??... They are free and may well save your life &/or prevent your property catching fire! We had a red emergency alarm warning from ours - it detected a serious supply fault at the POWER POLE. It was fixed very promptly by a TasNetworks emergency crew. We are concerned by the number of our house regulars who said they do not have one, do not use one or even see the reason to do so.... They are for your own safety and that of your family. Think of it as a smoke alarm for your electricity and treat it accordingly! Please phone 132 004 or go online to order one. https://www.tasnetworks.com.au/forms/request-a-cablepi/ Plug it in & leave it on! Its that simple. Please share this message with everyone - you may save a life!
