25.01.2022 Winter Warmer! A Lopi Fireplaces Australia Evergreen from Mr Stoves Pool World installed this week, just in time for Winter! This Freestanding Wood Fireplace is now the centrepiece of the clients formal lounge and the heart of the home. ... The tiles were cut in to the existing floor and laid in a brick pattern, creating a seamless non-combustible hearth.

25.01.2022 Government Building Stimulus Huge news from the government this morning with details of the $25,000 Homebuilder Grant revealed! You must enter into a building contract between June 4 and December 31 this year.... You must earn less than $125k as an individual and $200k as a couple. You must be building a new home as a principal place of residence valued up to $750k (including land). You can be carrying out a substantial renovation of your principal place of residence with costs between $150k and $750k however the home (house & land) must be valued under $1.5M prior to renovation. The works must commence within three months of the contract date and be carried out by a licensed builder/contractor, and can be a combination of works such as kitchen and bathroom. The grant is not available for swimming pools, tennis courts or detached garages or sheds. The works must improve the accessibility, safety and livability of the dwelling. The grant is not available to people seeking to renovate or build a new home as an investment. The applicant must pay a licensed builder the first instalment for starting work and then can apply to their state or territory revenue office for the $25,000. This is great news for the economy!

We will be preserving the look and feel of the home from the front and transform the inside of home as you step through the entry to the passage with a 4 meter high ceiling line.

The existing timber deck was removed and replaced, all being carried out & in by hand via the side gate or through the home. ... 23.01.2022 Project# 389BR... Fireplace and built in cabinetry installation. An existing wall was removed, reframed and a wood fireplace built in. The cabinetry was built off to the side to make the fireplace the central focus of the main living area. The cabinetry acts as a media and wood fire storage to keep it all neat and tidy!

18.01.2022 Project# 69AS. . . Progress!!! Site cut, concrete poured to the home and shed, with wall frames on the home have started going up. With all the progress, each day the clients have enjoyed an early morning drive by and afternoon site visit to watch their block of land transform into their family home.

17.01.2022 Major Renovation Sneak Peak A sneak peak of our clients colour selections at our Project# 530MC, a major renovation we are undertaking to the home, which was originally built in 1966. The clients have chosen a moody black kitchen paired with walnut stained Murray pine floors and a touch of brass. Two Velux skylights will be positioned either side of the island bench to offset the dark cabinetry and allow ample natural light to flow through, ensuring the space doesn't feel enc...losed. Downstairs, the En-suite is south facing, so white tiles have been paired with a light terrazzo-look floor tile to enhance the natural light. We are so excited to be able to offer our clients a full 3D render of what their selections will look like in real time, giving them a full picture of what the home will look like upon completion.

Seeing the smoke from the chimney driving up the driveway and hearing the crackle of the fire when first walking in the front door, for the the home owners, this creates a sense of warmth through its appearance and a feeling that we are home!

To the clients, neighbours, the Trethowan Building team, subcontractors and suppliers, it was an incredible process and a credit to all. Demolition commenced on 21st September 2020, with the handover of the home on 24th March 2021, which is just over 6 months. ... We will be eternally grateful for the opportunity!
