16.01.2022 19/03/2020 To our valued Members and patrons, As we all continue to personally do our best to come to terms with COVID-19 we thought it would be best to write to you and outline the clubs current position.... At the outset, of the highest priority is the health and safety of our members, that of our staff, volunteers and guests of the club. We continue to stress that there is no need to panic and to follow the advice of the relevant authorities. To minimise the chances of the virus entering the club, we again ask Members to take note of the following precautionary measures: Ensuring adherence to basic general hygiene practices in particular: Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands (hand sanitiser stations will be available); Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze; Stay at home if you feel unwell; Limiting personal contact in and around the club. We all know things can change quickly so at this stage the club will be implementing the following measures which will take effect Friday 20th March 2020: The Bar Changed Bar Trade Hours reviewed May 31st: Monday to Thursday 4pm to close, Friday 3pm to close. We will be implementing cashless trade, this means card only transactions. We will not be using glasses. Beer will be served in stubbies or cans & wine in plastic wine glasses Used vessels can be binned at various points within the club. We will run a poll to gauge if we maintain Friday night meals on Facebook. Games Effectively immediately turkey triples will be suspended. The green will be open however for club games and practice. Events We will advise the details on the AGM once we receive council from Bowls North. Our end of year dinner is now cancelled, replaced by a season opening dinner ear marked for September. Any event needs to have written approval by the club if it’s planned to be held at the club before 31st May. Of course, there are many more measures we are undertaking, which are impossible to list entirely in one letter, so we trust you know we have our Member’s best interests at heart & thank you all for your understanding. Lastly, if there is any Members requiring assistance to obtain essential items or need assistance in any way, we invite you to contact any board member of the club who will gladly help you with the systems we have in place to assist. 14.01.2022 State Championships Success// It was great to see a large representation from our members during the Bowls Tasmania Gala Week which saw State titles for Open Triples; Mixed Pairs; Junior Boys and Girls Pairs and Singles; and the Bowling Arm Pairs and Singles. These events were held between 10th January through 13th January and Trevallyn was on the honor roll early as Joe Reissig and Geoff Buchanan went all the way to claim the State Bowling Arm Pairs title. This was soon fol...lowed with young star (and new member to the club), Chloe Collins, winning the State Under 18 Girls' Singles title with an emphatic victory. The Club came extremely close to a hattrick of titles but unfortunately the Men's Triples combination of Michael Sims, Josh Walker-Davis and Josh Appleyard (all Trevallyn players) came runner-up to the defending champions. Congratulations to all on their strong representation of the club and success on the green! We look forward to seeing everyone's efforts during the remaining State Championships to be played over the March long-weekend

12.01.2022 CONGRATS // To Trevallyn members Michael Sims (5th), Lachie Sims (4th) and Josh Walker-Davis (2nd) for their efforts over the 2019-20 season resulting in their top 5 finishes in the State Men's Bowler of The Year standings. Having 3 out of the top 5 is a huge honour for the club and all its members! Glad your game on the green is better than that in front of the camera!

10.01.2022 Trevallyn Bowls & Community Club Mobile Phone Recycling Fundraiser. Mobile phone recycling for fundraising is about as simple as it sounds. Trevallyn Bowls & Community Club collects your pre-used mobile phones, tablets and/or ipods and we send them for Recycling with an authorised phone recycling company & our club receives fundraising dollars!!! Pre-used mobile phones, tablets and/or ipods going or damaged (cracked screen, poor battery etc) are all of value. ... If you have a phone your willing to donate for recycling, please Email us on [email protected] with model and a contact number. Instead of your old phone kicking around the mess drawer, we can recycle it and raise funds for our club!! Anyone that donates a phone goes in the draw to win a Smeg Baking Dish (RRP $390) Drawn 31st May 2020 results publish on our Facebook page. Please like and Share to help us fundraise

Congrats to the other winners in Maureen Zoon (Female), Chad Morrison (Minor) and Shane & Mel Golder (East Coast Male and Female respectively) for their efforts over the course of the 2019-20 season!
