17.01.2022 Hi all, NO SAT JUNIOR TENNIS UNTIL NEXT YEAR. Saturday junior tennis has been a great success thanks to support from all the kids and parents and volunteers! We will be looking to build on this next year likely recommencing again late January (please keep a look out on our Facebook page) but for now have a safe and hopefully relaxing break! TTC

Favourite tennis player: Don't really have one but Arthur Ashe is as good as any in my opinion not just for the great player he was but the person he was. 15.01.2022 UPDATE FROM TENNIS TASMANIA: With consideration of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and in additional consultation with stakeholders and the Government, Tennis Tasma...nia and Tennis Australia continues to act in the best interest of community health and safety by upholding the existing recommendation to cease all tennis activity in Tasmania. This recommendation is in line with the State Government confirming that social distancing rules will remain in place until 15 May 2020. This continues to be an extremely difficult and unique situation, and we thank you for your support and understanding of the communication and recommendations shared thus far. 15.01.2022 Hi everyone, Just an update on where the club is with an opening date. We have been busy completing all guidelines and new procedures to make our club COVIDSafe for our members and community and now we are awaiting to hear back from council on approval. One of the new procedures for the club will be a simple online booking system. ... If you would like a hit in the interim Launceston tennis world currently has free court hire. 14.01.2022 Quick club update. Yesterday morning a truck rolled into Court 1 (top synthetic grass court) causing damage to the corner fence and poles. We have assessed the damage and are organising repairs through the truck company's insurer. The court is still safe to use. We will keep you updated on progress with repairs. 14.01.2022 Our Division A pennant side the Trevallyn Titans have made it into the grand final against Riverside. The final will be held at Newstead tennis club on the 2nd NOV @ 6.30 with a free BBQ running through out the night with other finals also being played. It has been a great team effort from everyone involved and we would love it if you could come cheer the Titans on. ... Favourite food: Mexican Favourite interests: family, beach, tennis, mountain biking, surfing Trevallyn Tennis Club member since: Off and on member since 1985 Tennis racquet used: Wilson pro staff First tennis memory: My first tennis lesson on court 1 at Trevallyn tennis club with David Drysdale Favourite tennis player: Boris Becker How did I get into tennis: At the age of 8 I rode my bmx down the concrete bank on the back of court 1 at Trevallyn tennis club, crashing into court 4 fence and breaking my hip (15 months on crutches) after I had the option of playing 2 non contact sports, tennis or golf, so tennis is was as my brother also played. Favourite memory: Travelling Europe for 4 months for tennis playing and coaching, also winning Tasmanian grass court champs. What I love most about the club: The fond memories I have and how it has shaped me into the person I am today.

The event will be held on the weekend of Saturday 30-Sunday 31 January at Burnie Tennis Club, with the recent success of the North vs North West Challenge Day in November fueling the demand for players from the South to join the two aforementioned regions to compete in the upcoming summer challenge. The Tri-Series Cup will feature the best elite male and f...emale players in the state competing for their respective regions, with other divisions including A-Grade, over 40’s, 60 plus, and junior boys and girls on offer. 01.01.2022 It's great to see interest in Sat Junior tennis grow over the last few weeks with 25 participating this weekend! The buzz around the club has been great! Thanks to all the parents who helped bring this together and kids for participating in what we think is a pretty fun sport. Look forward to making this even better! Remember this is open to members (free) and non-members ($10) and runs from 4pm to 5pm Sat. The session will not be run on Saturday 26th Sept due to the school... holidays and lack of people to run it but we will be back on the 3rd of Oct! Hope to see you then!
