16.01.2022 Many Hervey Bay locals I have spoken to have expressed the need for a council 'Kerbside Collection' - this is a great example why we need one.

05.01.2022 I was asked last week my thoughts on climate change and how the Council can make changes to ensure a sustainable future. I responded that I believe that every level of government from Local Council, State and Federal need to take proactive measures to combat climate change and minimise its impact. I think that at a council level we need to take measures such as ensuring all future capitol works are environmentally sustainable, we need to promote local environmentally friendly... small businesses, have a strong disaster management plan including prevention, response and recovery in cases such as extreme heat, bushfires and flooding. As a Council, we need to commit to reducing operational emissions. Unfortunately we can not think of climate change as something that will be in the future, it is here and now and we have to make changes so our kids can enjoy all the environmental resources that we enjoy today. We live in a beautiful part of the world and Council need to play a part in keeping it that way! See more
