20.01.2022 Join us on Sunday 24th February from 1:00pm at Carrington Place * Bar, Restaurant & Accommodation for the annual Trevor Drayton Scholarship Luncheon! Enjoy delicious finger food, wine, beers and live Jazz as we raise funds to continue to assist young people in furthering their careers in wine, food and hospitality but even more importantly, to announce the recipients of the current round of scholarship allocations. As in previous years, the day has been planned as a casual a...ffair, with guests invited to roam the bar, courtyard and dining rooms of Carrington Place while enjoying live music, a selection of fine Hunter wines and boutique beers, all matched with dishes prepared by Carrington Place owner and chef, Scott Webster and his talented kitchen team. Some of the region’s best known vineyards are again supporting the day and include Peter Drayton Wines and Drayton's Family Wines. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on a small number of exclusive auction items, including accommodation, dining and hand-picked collectable wine packages. 16.01.2022 Our Scholarships allow those working or training in the field of wine and hospitality to further their studies. We have partnered with the Hunter TAFE Foundation to award these Scholarships. Previous winners have included Apprentice Chefs, Winemaking and Viticulture students and Sommeliers in training. The Committee also awards one special Scholarship each year, independent from TAFE NSW, with the recipient chosen by the Committee.

08.01.2022 With less than two weeks until the Presentation at Carrington Place * Bar, Restaurant & Accommodation, today the Foundation committee announced that the current round of scholarships would see total support for talented Hunter based individuals working and studying in the wine, food and hospitality industries top $50,000 before the end of the year!! Scholarships are awarded annually in conjunction with the Hunter TAFE and also via direct applications to the Trevor Drayton co...mmittee, with four recipients to be presented at this year’s event. A brand new scholarship has also been included this year, with the Foundation committing to sponsoring one of the 12 scholars hand-picked from across Australia each year and given the unique opportunity to enhance their wine education in the prestigious Len Evans Tutorial.
