19.01.2022 Had a sale'oh round up this weekend and culled out a few of my older cows. Amongst the mob were a few escapee maiden's. Kept 2 speckles and a Murray grey heifer back for AI. TWS marigold is a purebred sired by my old bull, TWS Simba D3, a Moo Fassa son. Her dam is fancy face, sired by traffic jam and out of a lacerta cow. I have a brother to her by Samson that I am using now over my commercials. The other speckle heifer is an f2, with the the 3rd dam being Illawarra x limosin cow.

19.01.2022 It's a dry as chips here in Jemalong at the moment. The first batch of calves are just starting to hit the ground. The cows are in great shape for only having their calves weaned of them 5 weeks ago. First 4 calves by Tws Bluemoon. (Wgs Eclipse x traffic jam). I think this little fella is going to do well in a cross bred herd. All little heifers. Cute as!

18.01.2022 Tagged and marked these little beauties yesterday. 9 out of 15 in the mob have calved to "Bluemoon". They are exactly how I thought they would be. Easy calving, vigorous from birth and no solid colours. Can't wait to see them grow. 8 of the 9 are heifers from some of my best family's. For as dry as it is, their mums are still making to much milk for them. Sorry about the poohy bums!

15.01.2022 I am really loving my Speckle Park x Murray Grey cattle. Had a steer killed for home last week and I am very happy with the size and fat coverage of these guys. This particular bloke was still sucking his mum at 11 months old. Came in dressed at 212kgs. Look at the T-bone, is that around 7-10mm of fat? Didn't measure it. The colour is good also, no grain at all! Just mum and grass. Have a few up and coming stars there also. Love the grey spots. Yes I will be weaning in the new year, but need a holiday first.
