20.01.2022 TRH Equine Vets Welcomes NAOMI - The latest member of the team Originally from Lancashire in the UK, Naomi grew up with horses and this is where her interest in veterinary medicine began. Throughout her clinical studies at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in July 2015, there was a focus on all things equine including time at an equine hospital in Newmarket; the home of British horse racing. ... She started her career at a busy mixed practice and although she saw a varied caseload, she wanted to pursue her interests in the equine field. 6 months later, Naomi joined an equine only practice and over a 3 year period, she developed many of her skills in lameness investigation, radiography, equine medicine and reproduction. Having just completed the Southern Hemisphere stud season in QLD, Naomi has fallen in love with the Australian way of life and brings the next chapter of her professional journey to TRH Equine Vets. Not one to rest on her laurels, Naomi will soon commence her studies for her certificate in equine advanced veterinary practice. 12.01.2022 So proud of Ben Bates today at the Aquinas College IQ Showjumping event, he managed to come equal first overall on new horse Bommer and his other beautiful horse Camel in the 110cm class and was a member of the Aquinas team that won overall champion school and also a member of the Aquinas team that placed 3rd! Well done buddy! Look forward to seeing you progress on your new boy Bommer!

10.01.2022 Here is Dr Tim using the new power tooth float. Super light and easy to use and very effective! This is actually one of our own horses that needed doing, was done with no sedation which meant we could get a good video and show you inside too! Tim still uses the hand tools to be certain he gets all sharp points and hooks etc but this machine really does cut down time. As you can see he is always feeling inside and checking what areas need to be addressed. To get your horses teeth done please contact to make a booking!

04.01.2022 Our lovely Nurse Carly will be attending the cliffhanger 4wd competition held in Cobar NSW in a weeks time to marshal and support her partners race team. Carly has organised a fundraiser hoping to raise money to buy bales of hay to donate to the farmers suffering from the drought. Trees which have survived over hundreds of years are dying. The farmers are struggling to keep the livestock fed leaving many livestock malnourished. The farmer has lost around 800 sheep and just la...st week 9 cattle in just one day! The water tanks are empty and some areas of Cobar haven’t had rainfall in over two years! Despite the struggles these farmers are facing they still remain positive.
