25.01.2022 I thought I should let the world know that I'm still here , despite all the challenges and uncertainty we're currently being faced with, your body is still going to need some TLC. So if it starts to ache or you've got a niggle that just won't go away, I'm more than happy to treat you! To ensure your safety and health are of the utmost priority I will be adhering to the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness; Constant handwashing, handgel for your use and mine, gate open f...or entry- removing the need to touch the handle and disinfecting the table, equipment etc after each client. A few light bulb moments were definitely had as we worked together during our session I then got to help ease some postural discomfort for another client through the magic of my skilled hands ... 21.01.2022 It's been a very long time between posts but behind the scenes here @tri_motus_physio I've been busy treating and improving a broad range of people and their aches and pains! I just wanted to share yesterday's run with you, check out all that elevation . Not the fastest run in the world but I always enjoy pushing myself with short bursts up hills and stairs; I even ran some soft sand to work on improving all my deep stability muscles-ankles, pelvic stabilisers and core . I ...am obviously a big advocate for movement and physical activity so I'm always telling my clients how important it is for them to move their bodies too. However the kind of movement they choose is entirely up to them. Not everyone wants to run or go to the gym, the most important thing is that it's enjoyable. Loving how you move means you'll want to get up and do it consistently without feeling like it's a big fat chore!!! 19.01.2022 I've been trying to find something I feel inspired to write about and share, so after a little thought I decided to go with something close to my heart and relevant to me now and so many women out there... #breastfeeding With a 13 month old little boobie monster I understand first hand the pressure breastfeeding can have on our bodies.... Shoulders rounded, head forward, exaggerated thoracic kyphosis. Resulting in neck pain, headaches, tight chest, shoulder discomfort and a stiff upper back! Yuck! This is where #pilates is EXTRA amazing as there are so many exercises which help to correct all of the above mentioned problems. I personally recommend regular pilates practice prior to pregnancy, during and after. Or for forever really !! If pilates isn't your thing I can always work one on one, assessing, diagnosing and prescribing exercises for you to do at home. 17.01.2022 I was stoked to read this recent research @physionetwork because this is one of my favourite butt exercises, except like many others I placed the band just above the knees. I often include it in my class program down @holisticprohealth and prescribe it to patients who need to increase their Glute strength. Just to make sure, I tried this method with the students in my class a few weeks ago and just like the research states, they all felt their glutes burning that little bit more than usual!
