18.01.2022 It's on!!! The inaugural Stanthorpe Pre65/Classic Trial!! This will be a weekend to remember. Queens Birthday long weekend, take a leisurely and scenic drive Saturday, 20kms southwest of Stanthorpe to the beautifull "Leighton" property set up camp and have a relaxing evening under the star filled skies of Queensland granite belt. Sunday will see the running of the Inaugural Stanthorpe Pre65/Classic Trial, guaranteed be a great day on bikes from the oldest class in the sport ...of Trials, don't be surprised if fair bit of laughing and an enormous amount of banter/sledging as you tackle the sections supplied by the members of the Trials Club of Queensland. After the days riding there will be presentation of awards to the first 5, yes the first 5 place getters whilst enjoying a complimentary sausage sizzle. Then if you don't feel like driving home you can spend another night under the stars enjoying great company and no doubt discussing the highs and lows of the day. Then Monday morning you can make your way home or you can stay for a couple of hours and help with the section setting for the following weekend's when Trials Club of Queensland will host the Best Water Filters AMA Queensland Trials Championship. How good does that sound?? Drag the old bikes out, get registered and let's make it happen See you there. See more

17.01.2022 As it stands at the moment, we are 4 weeks out from the 2020 B.E.S.T Water Filters AMA Queensland Trials Championship at Stanthorpe. Entries are steadily coming in, and everything looks on track to be a weekend to remember. At this point, the only other thing that needs organising is our need for observers. For this we are asking if you or anyone you know would be interested in observing one day or both days? As riders we are all indebted to our friends and family who step u...p and help with the sections, scoring and observing, without you we don't have a sport, so for that reason we all are incredibly thankfull to you all for that. If you are able to help with this a ask you to please contact Andrew Stacey on 0408 762 293 or leave a message in the comments. On behalf of the Trials Club of Queensland and all the riders we thank you in advance. Thanks See more

12.01.2022 Sunday saw the running of the Inaugural Stanthorpe Pre65/Classic Trial at Robert Leggett's stunning "Leighton" property. Wow what a day, Trials Club of Queensland did a superb job of running the event and were rewarded with the event being a huge success and attracting 19 Pre65/Classic riders. The riders had a choice of T5 and T6 lines in the 7 sections that were set. Of the 19 starters there was 12 riders in T5 and 7 in T6. The riders did 3 laps of the 7 sections in the morn...ing, a one hour lunch break then another 3 laps of the sections in the opposite direction. By the end of competition the T6 class had Maurice Blanchard and Ralph Hoole tied on 22 points and needed a ride off to determine the winner, after which Maurice was declared the winner. The winner of T5 was determined by the end of the 42 sections with Tony Bax having a faultless ride of 0 points lost on his BSA Bantam piping Justin Gough by one point. Bradley Bryant was third on a Triumph Tiger Cub with 3 points lost. Amazing to think that the T5 top 3 had 20 Australian Championship between then. The results are attached and some photos, many more photos to come in due time. In closing, this event was the first of its kind in Queensland, the plan is to make this at least an annual event. A massive congratulations to Trials Club of Queensland and a massive thank you to all involved in the running of this event. Full results are now in the comments

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone, This is a sincere apology and massive thank you all in one !! As you may be aware we were delayed in getting the final scores and results out in time to have a presentation at the trial on Sunday. Having a combination of a new/old scoring system and fresh Covid 19 restrictions being released on Saturday, there were a few things that didn't quite work out and in reality a few things that I did not foresee as being a issues time wise and for that I am sorry.... By not having a presentation I did not get the chance to thank all of guys and girls that came out to help us in preparation for round 2 of the Q.L.D. Trials series with clearing and setting the sections both last Friday/Saturday and over the course of the weekend just gone. It was absolutely amazing to have so many people helping out and I can not thank you all enough. Having many section setters means more variety in our sections and ultimately a better event to ride. I would also like to give huge thanks to all to those who volunteered to observe for the day Drew and Amber Wightman, Bob Anderson, Marg and Clarry Cunliffe , Scott and Mia Carpenter ,Robert Eyres and Robert Leggatt and to the riders for doing their bit and observing , again a big thank you to our referee/Sausage sizzler Andrew Stacey for feeding the masses, to our event organizers/comp secretary's Dan and Tracey Gollagher and also for our First Aid officers Tracey and Russ. Once more Thank you to the many that helped bring in the sections an general clean up after the trial again amazing and once again I am blown away with the enthusiasm and massive help by all . I hope you enjoyed the event and we will hopefully have the final results in the next day or so . Cheers Justin Gough

02.01.2022 Wow what a weekend! Straight off the back of the Pre65 trial last week Trials Club Of Queensland were back to the granite belt to again create history. Earlier in the year Central Queensland Trials Club ran the first ever AMA Queensland Championships for Air Cooled Monoshock, Twinshock and Pre65 bikes, now it was Trials Club Of Queensland turn to run the first AMA Queensland Trials Championships for the modern bikes. With the most generous support from the team from B.E.S.T. ...Water Filters the event was a great success. Check out the results below, the scores are a testament to how perfect the sections were, the section setting team did an amazing job. Huge thanks to everybody involved in running the event, and another huge thanks to the observers, we can’t thank you guys and girls enough. Lastly thanks to the riders, as each event is run it becomes more and more apparent that the switch to AMA was definitely a great move. See more
