25.01.2022 We began this year with a heavy heart knowing the devastating toll that the catastrophic bushfires were having on entire communities, on peoples’ lives and on our sacred Country. We wanted to help in some way, to contribute to saving and salvaging Country for our future generations and to show our community’s support for all of those that have been impacted. On Wednesday, 22 January 2020 and in partnership with our friends at @thencie, we held our Biggest EVER Bootcamp s...ession to raise money for the bushfire appeal. With well over 200 people in attendance, we came together as a community, trained hard and challenged ourselves in an effort to demonstrate strength and solidarity to those impacted by the terrible events caused by the bushfires. Community members, friends, local businesses, community organisations, corporates, and government agencies dug deep to donate money and items to auction to raise funds. We are humbled by everyone’s selfless efforts and are proud to announce that our fundraising total reached an amazing $9,599.20. This money has been donated directly to @wireswildliferescue. Once again we would like to thank every individual, organisation, sporting team and community group that showed such generosity of spirit, and each contributed their bit to help care for Country. #bushfiresaustralia #bushfirefundraiser #fundraiser #indigenoussuccess #indigenousexcellence #caringforcountry

The health and well-being of our community is our top priority and we are determined to continue our work to ensure they are supported and protected. ... . During these confusing, uncertain and stressful times, we would like to emphasise the importance of maintaining a healthy routine for the physical and mental wellbeing, of individuals, families, communities and for everyone across the country. . We are continuing our services, including our Clean Slate Without Prejudice Mentoring Program and morning fitness sessions. The format and location of these sessions however will be changed. Tribal Warrior has been taking initiatives, in-line with Government recommendations, to ensure the safety of our people and community. . We are: Limiting face to face meetings and directing staff to use alternative means to deliver required services; Increasing hygiene practices with hand sanitisers readily available in the office and at fitness sessions; Encouraging all attendees at fitness sessions to bring their own water bottle; Adapting fitness sessions to limit contact and to observe social distancing measures; Increasing regular cleaning of Tribal Warrior vehicles and equipment; Limiting group activities outside of the regular CSWP fitness sessions; Limiting non-essential staff travel where appropriate; Encouraging community members and staff to self-isolate if they experience any flu symptoms as per Government guidelines; and, Adhering to all Government regulations and recommendations for personal health and safety, including limiting physical touch. .
