11.01.2022 This is the room my Mum sleeps in when she comes to visit. Mum likes soft, quiet pinks and blues so the bed’s usually made up with that pale pink coverlet, the quilted throw at the foot and sometimes, those blue velvet euros. Today I was walking around the house with this Turkish Kilim cushion (as you do) and on an impulse, I tossed it on this bed. I think of this as Mum’s room so it wouldn’t normally occur to me that this cushion could go in here. It’s not her taste. That lo...oks alright, I thought...but it needs something to tie in the deeper tones. Bam! Pink velvet lumbar (with a fancy brass zip). It feels good to enjoy playing with colour and texture again. I’ve not been up for much playing for a bit. And I like the random way this turned out so pretty. .
