25.01.2022 Friday ~ You made it! The shop is closed today while I put my nurse hat on for an unwell kiddo, but open tomorrow 10.30 - 2pm for some weekend retail therapy. Thanks a million for sticking with me through the turbulence - Let’s try again next week for smooth sailing!

24.01.2022 Christmas Crafting! I am generally a hard no for workshops (hard werk-werk) but when this mad woman hit me up to team and workshop on the beautiful grounds of Hotel Granya I couldn’t refuse. Bridget is an absolute legend and my cheeks actually ache from laughter every time I see her... I’m thinking this may be a very jolly few hours! I don’t care if you want to spend your entire time perfecting your dream wreath or if you prefer to sit back in the sunshine, with your heirlo...om wire wreath base + sprig of gum slapped on...drinking bubbles, gazing across the lake, patting the alpaca...and heckling Florist Bec (as I plan to). 24.01.2022 Today I am just going to share this lovely shop window moment as we head into these new, tighter border restrictions. From tomorrow *at this stage* the wonderful Bec, our florist and store manager will be unable to get over to us from her home on Lake Hume. This may effect our hours. I will try to cover as best I can, however I ask for your continued understanding. You guys have been amazing these past few months and we are so incredibly grateful. This is just another little bump in the road. Maddie x

22.01.2022 OSMOSIS Hand & Body Wash by @additionstudios The most lovely distraction from the rudeness that is the first day back at work after a long weekend! ~ Restocked with lots of our Addition Studio favourites, including the new Osmosis Wash and all natural Scented Spray. Think macadamia oil, natural cedarwood, mandarin, patchouli... in those beautifully designed vessels & thoughtful packaging that they are known for ~ in store now, online soon x

21.01.2022 I’m going to be honest, it’s been a shit couple weeks (haha who am I kidding - 2020!). We had an unexpected kicker that really took the last of the wind out of my let’s do beautiful business sails. But this isn’t a sad post, this is to say thank-you. To our amazing community who make me smile daily, re-ignite motivation and ultimately keep our doors open. This message was from an absolute gem of a person, in response to me questioning EVERYTHING and also mentioning finding th...e whole selling concept uncomfortable given the state of the world right now. 21.01.2022 Thursday’s thinking about the weekend. How about heading out and showing some support to the beautiful local bars like our some of our faves @publichousealbury @temperanceandgeneral @canvas You will definitely need a frilly party frock ~ We have even reduced them to $100 just in case you really need your arm twisted for a new dress and a fancy cocktail (don’t forget to sign in & stay seated though, these businesses are working hard to keep us all safe!) #socialdistancingsaveslives

20.01.2022 CLOSED today. We have been hit with an unexpected change to border restrictions this morning. No idea how we missed it but once again we find ourselves with team members unable to get to work. I will be back in Thursday to Saturday, unsure what’s happening after that. Please bear with me while I have my nervous breakdown

20.01.2022 Christmas lists are almost checked off... Must be time to start thinking about that Christmas day kit. Have to look our best hanging out in the kitchen and eating all the foods and drinks. We are open tomorrow, Christmas Eve until 1pm-ish then it’s time to pop the champy (after finishing the dumb groceries...)! A little heads up for those who like to plan ahead ~ We will be closed Christmas & Boxing Day. Open again from the 29th-31st, but just little holiday hours 10am-2pm, before a taking a much needed break until the 19th January. Excitement kicking in!!

20.01.2022 Ready to entertain with our new @saardehome boards! . The kids finished school today. Our eldest finishing primary school FOR.EVER. I feel like tonight should be a Friday night but tomorrow I still need to brave our youngest muffins last day at our beloved community preschool. FOR. EVER. Wahh! Too much emotion for me this week, the countdown to break time is definitely on! . Ps. So many deliveries every day now, come buy the boards and all the things! We are open until 6.30 tomorrow! (Shameless, lazy sales post.. because I’m tired and emotional)

18.01.2022 Today was a very good day. Hooray for our Victorian friends, especially Melbourne. The best newsfeed today filled with our fave shopkeepers opening their doors, happy heads sipping the best coffee in Australia... families and friends re-united. You have all done the most amazing job x

18.01.2022 Long Weekend Whether you are choosing rest or adventure, we are spoilt for choice. Opening of the ski season, a drive to one of our pretty country towns for lunch, a wander of Albury’s shops and cosy coffee dates or sleep ins and movies. I’m happily bunking down at home for family time after some big weeks, but our wonderful Bec has Swift Street open today with the heater keeping it toasty until 2.30pm x
