15.01.2022 Greetings to all. As you may or may not know . I am no longer attending many markets as stallholder. I now have a full time job and I'm also sick not getting support from the towns folk market communities .Attending markets is very time consuming and tiring. After attending some markets in the past and sometimes not even making back the market site fee , let alone the dollars in diesel that costs to travel to market it is just simply not worth the effort. I'm not really sure why some people choose to support a big multi national company instead of a small local business. Anyway that's their choice I guess. To those who have purchased and continue to purchase from Tricalog Goat Products , Thank - you.

09.01.2022 Johne's Disease Vaccination in Goats The proceedings of the 14th international scientific meeting on Johne's disease are now out and it is depressing reading fo...r goat owners. If you were relying on Johne's disease vaccination to control JD you need to think again. Research on 151 vaccinated kids from 8 infected herds showed some of these kids still shed JD in their faeces- 20% at 1 month then drops right down until 11-13 months when it climbed again to 15%. Kids of mature does were more likely to shed that the kids of goatlings. Remember Guidar is only registered in Australia by the APVMA for goats as an aid to the control of JD.
