Weekly budget for food?... Consumption needs to fit OUR lifestyle, we shouldnt have to change our lifestyle based on our diet! So how can we combat over indulging on a weekend? Lets think of our calorie intake as a weekly budget, if we plan on eating more food on weekends, we are able to restrict our calories on the days leading up. For example, if our daily calorie intake in a fat loss phase is 1800 calories, on Wednesday through Friday, we can restrict our calories to 1500, for this reason on Saturday we have created an extra 900 calories (weekly budget) so on Saturday we can have 2700 calories! We have always believed there is a place for fitness studios in managing wellbeing, mental health and supporting healthy immune system. Things seen as essential when battling the risk and fallout of COVID. We also believe that like most of retail stores, many of which will be able to open in stage 3, that gyms and studios such as ours, who have already set up t...o manage safe distancing and minimising risk of spread should be able to open so that we can continue to help our community. We understand that there will be mixed opinions however, if you support our view we would love for you to sign. 13.01.2022 HELP! IVE JUST LOST MY MOTIVATION.... WHAT KEEPS YOU ON TRACK? Righto, motivation is something we lose all time, where did you lose it? under the couch? Next to the remote? How do we "stay on track" Motivation is one of those things that has highs and lows, so we have to turn this motivation & good intentions into habit - which like all GOOD things, takes a little bit of patience & perseverance.... Now, I am definitely not one for self help books - thats just not who I am, but I DID read "Cant Hurt Me" by David Goggins - first book of the year (Ok last few years) and has helped me keep somewhat on track over this lock down. Also, be conscious of your intake of foods such as bacon, processed meats, carbonated flavoured drinks, baked goods, white processed breads & pasta, pizza. & the list goes on! ... On the flipside, foods that are considered incredibly good for your health & you should try to eat ample amounts of are: Leafy green veg, wholegrains, berries, avos, fatty fish & fish oil, walnuts, beans & even dark choc!

With each repetition, youll work your chest, arms, front deltoids, thighs, hamstrings, and abs. Trust me. 09.01.2022 DEEP SLEEPERS PLEASE HELP! - Whats your number one sleep routine tip? . So finding that deep sleep can be quite challenging especially with everything going on it can be hard to switch your mind off. .... I found these 4 things have helped me heaps. . 1/ I started reading again! By 9:15pm TV is off and Im in bed reading something I dont have to think too much about. Mindless entertainment I call it. If you arent much of a reader, start small thats not my kitten was a nail bighter!! . 2/ minimise screen time from 8pm onward and once Im in bed I dont look at my phone again. . 3/ I started taking a magnesium supplement to relax the muscles after hard days training. CalmX is great a saviour . 4/ limit sugar and alcohol at night as these are stimulants and will keep you awake or give you a restless sleep. Now I just drink vodka for breakfast...jokes. ..Everyone knows its a lunchtime drink. . Id love to know your tips if you find sleep easy. Id also like to know if you struggle to sleep and what you have tried. Sleep is so so important. If you struggle to find it, it is well worth looking at methods to improve it . 06.01.2022 I cant workout from home OR I wont get a good workout from home > Said no one ever!... . Ok, so here are 4 steps to make it easier to do so...! . 1. Book it in Make it like a work appointment with a boss or a client. Once its booked in you will have no choice but to go and workout! . 2. Space Have a designated area to workout in. It doesnt have to be permanent and it doesnt have to be a huge space. I like to workout in the sun when its out but I always have a back up space inside that can work. . 3. Sound You need to hear whats going on with the workout so invest in some wireless headphones or a mini boom speaker. (Side note - if youve got kids go with the headphones as you never want to wake a sleeping baby ) . 4. Bring IT YES, We know its not like the gym (with all the fancy equipment) and you might not have any equipment. But if you dont get into the workout and give it a shot youll never get a good workout. Some of my best workouts have been during Lockdown and with NO Equipment! So get over it and get into IT!

03.01.2022 Currently training an amazing bunch of people through our online platforms, 1:1 PT and group sessions. A common theme I keep hearing - "just a little sore in my lower back" (myself included, have never sat down so much in my life!) WELL, there are a few reasons for that. You have an actual injury, you have told your trainer/physio/health professional and they are working with you to improve your current situation. You need to move MORE! - sitting at your home office desk is... not fab for your lower back situation, so set a timer every hour and get up and MOVE more. Very very important. Taking time to stretch & strengthen. Take a couple of moments that you would otherwise be mindlessly scrolling through the entire internet to stretch and release your body from the tensions of the day, so decompress your body. You body is your home! gotta look after it. Obviously if you have any intense issues PLEASE see your nominated health professional.
