25.01.2022 Some more of Ryan’s handiwork in this bike seat he did exactly as original as per the customers request
25.01.2022 The XR Falcon front seats well underway and should be finished tomorrow night ready to do the dashboard on Friday, like the rear seat pieces these were in a far worse way than they appeared needing spring repairs and frame repairs along with major scaly rust removal and treatment to kill it and prevent further spreading of the rust . Ideally a better frame would have been the go but given the budget and time limits we’ve fixed the existing seat . New foam padding and fresh hessian matt under the foam should provide decent comfort and last longer than the old waste cotton padding the factory used back in the day , I’ll post up the finished pics tomorrow night , it’s like night and day the difference in the seat
25.01.2022 Another tonneau cover today for one of our regular customers, we appreciate your work guy’s thanks again
25.01.2022 A recaro front seat base all repaired by Ryan and foamed up ready to go as good if not better than new
24.01.2022 A Toyota hilux tonneau cover out today
24.01.2022 The other 67 Impala hardtop seats are all done ready to go. I replaced the broken springs with correctly made replacements not the blocks of foam and couch coil springs that had previously been used by either a furniture upholsterer or a budget repair job by someone else , all the dried out foam that had crumbled into yellow dust has also been replaced with new foam and hessian mats as originally used , should be much more comfortable than before
23.01.2022 A sneak peek of the 68 Camaro seats that Ryan has just finished ready for fit up , I’ll post some more pics once it’s all installed in place, every seam lines up as they should do and the broken frame and dodgy springs have been fixed correctly
23.01.2022 A couple of quad bike seats out today
23.01.2022 Another pinstripe style bike seat , this one by Ryan in bright red thread as per the customers request, the seat started out as a dual seat that I cut down and modified to be a solo seat then handed it off to Ryan to final shape it and then make the cover to suit . All our pinstripe seats are different as every one is laid out by hand and then stitched to suit
23.01.2022 A very good condition 60 series land cruiser seat in for foam repairs and the side of the base vinyl replacement. You don’t see these in this kind of condition very often
22.01.2022 Must be time to go home another long day getting bits finished off for customers , even though some of the jobs were not actually booked in
22.01.2022 A Bronco dash all repaired and recovered by Ryan. This one was pretty rough shape when it came in but looks a treat now . I still have a pair of door panels for this one that’ll be finished off next week for it
22.01.2022 From Aussie muscle last week to American classic iron this week, this is the Chevy I did the seats for some time back. Now it’s in for a new headlining and parcel shelf along with new wind lacing for the door openings
21.01.2022 Progress pics of the camaro seats as they start to come together
20.01.2022 Some VW beetle front seats by Ryan foamed up and recovered to match the rear seat that’s in the car
19.01.2022 The Chev’s all back together and finished off , the owner picked it up tonight and was very happy with the finished product. New parcel shelf and rear doglegs along with the new wind lacing and not forgetting the new headlining rear sail panels and sunvisors
18.01.2022 A set of XY fairmont door panels all done in house and finished off today along with the trunk/boot isolation board
18.01.2022 One of a dozen or so console lids done over the last week or two
17.01.2022 Ryan’s almost there with the HG Monaro seats , you’ll notice they sit much better with the correct listings to hold the covers in place compared with the seat on the left that had been recovered sometime in the past with Falcon vinyls and without the side bolster listings and the back rest one tied down loosely with button twine
16.01.2022 An awning cover underway late today in the pattern making process before cutting out the Waterproof acrylic canvas for it
15.01.2022 The XR Falcon front seats all done ready to go, bit of a job this one but it’s turned out pretty good considering how bad it was to begin with

15.01.2022 A Falcon Ute headlining that Ryan did for the owner of this BA
14.01.2022 A Postie bike seat for one of our customers another one of Ryan’s jobs

14.01.2022 Another tonneau cover and hardware out today
13.01.2022 The door panels for the 67 hardtop Impala, new insert and a clean up of the carpet on the bottom of them and re-dyed fresh black
12.01.2022 Started turning this mixture of valiant seats into 770 charger seats , unfortunately the rear seat base is a CL sedan base which will still fit but it’s not straight across the front edge like a factory charger seat is , the owner is happy to keep it that way as long as I can do the foam work and covers to suit , here’s the start of the covers so far and the front seats will be done this week all going well . The last pic of the beige seats is how they will look once I’ve finished them
11.01.2022 An early Toyota Hilux seat in for spring repairs and foam repairs along with new vinyl faces in original Hilux tan diamond embossed insert , we were so busy I forgot to get photos of the backrest and seat finished in the Ute before it was picked up
10.01.2022 Another commodore seat ready to go, I forgot to get a before pic but foam and covers all repaired and fitted a new side plastic supplied by the customer , all ready for the owner to collect
09.01.2022 A VW Amorok center console armrest repaired the foam and recovered in matching vinyl
09.01.2022 A land rover seat repair I did this week, foam repairs and the covers were also repaired and looking just like they should be
07.01.2022 A sunroof glass replacement and removal of as much of the broken glass as was humanly possible without removing the entire sunroof cartridge from the car ( a major job to do in most cases ) all back together and working again, the sunroof was stripped right down to do this job as well as could be without removing the cartridge there was plenty of glass to remove and a rather large huntsman lol . I also removed all the adhesive left from the tape the owner had used to keep the weather out after these pics and I forgot to get a pic once it was all cleaned up
06.01.2022 It’s taken a full 8 hours to get it all black but it’s all done bar the sealer , I’ve changed the colour of these saddle bags and seats from tan to black being careful to get the dye right down into every nook and cranny . This job consists of stripping the new tanned surfaces with M.E.K ( methyl ethyl ketone ) and then dying the leather the chosen colour ( black in this case ) and then it’s a 24 hour wait to then apply the sealer ( and another 24 hours wait ) to keep it black and stop any dye transfer to or from clothing and the leather
06.01.2022 A Mahindra tonneau cover we did last week
05.01.2022 A 440 cortina GT Rooflining, we had to make this from scratch including all the bows there was nothing at all in the car for us to start with
05.01.2022 Some Kombi seats we got done this week new foam and covers along with spring repairs and the old coconut fibre padding ended up as a pile of brown dust on the floor as I stripped them down . In the end they came out pretty nicely and should be a lot more comfortable than before
05.01.2022 The Camaro interior is finally all back in the car and looking a treat , happy owner too , that makes all the hard work that much more worthwhile . Here’s a few pics of the finished work
04.01.2022 A super cool little beetle in for some new door cards to be made and fitted with the original covers re fitted to them to keep its original character intact , it attracted more than it’s fair share of attention while it was here today
04.01.2022 It’s the little details that matter , some HG Holden wagon grab straps
03.01.2022 An HG Holden seat I finished off today, this one I stripped down to its bare bones and replaced 7 springs in total and stripped and cleaned the seat runners the re-lubricated them . I also colour matched the faded and worn metal side trims to the original paint colour that was left on the backs of them . I also found the trimmers broadcast sheet a rare item to find in a seat these days . All back together with its new covers better than new , here’s a few pics of the process involved
03.01.2022 Some bronco door panels recovered in new black velour as they were when they were dropped in without the purple faded parts and lifting fabric and I also cleaned all the black paint off the stainless trim and Ryan made and covered some new arm rests for them . I also repaired the broken plastic and replaced the carpet bottoms
02.01.2022 Another old classic in for some trim repairs for one of our local radio celebrities, if you recall the the car yard ( not a real yard ) sticker on the rear window it’ll give a hint to its owner
