11.01.2022 Calling all TriNova members who are currently in a position to give a little to charity. Matt Porta, the fearless President of CCTri has decided to come out of Ironman retirement to race his brother, Rod Cook for a great cause. For $1000 pledged as a starting point, Matt will take his place on the start line at Ironman Australia in Port Macquarie, 2021. All pledges will be donated to a charity of his choosing while he'll also be coughing up for an entry into the big race. I t...hink $1000 is a little light on though, and reckon we should be able to get at least $2000 for such a huge coup! Of course we want this to be a fair race between Matt and Rod...so... 2 x World Championship competitor, Matt will give Rod 2 mins head start for each year difference they have in age. Now, I wont say how much older Rod is but he will be getting approximately a 34min headstart on the day I reckon Rod's got him covered as Matt has been out of the game for a long time now... but... Matt's confident as always, and Im hearing there may even be an additional bet between the two on the day. Feel free to comment below if you are happy to pledge, or send Rod a private message with an amount you're comfortable with. There will most likely be a gofundme page set up for this, so hold onto your dollars for now though. Just remember, the pledges are all for charity and will go to a good cause at a time when many causes need all the hands they can get just to keep them going. This is just a fun way to get a collection going Both Matt and Rod (Rod already entered via deferral from this years race) will be entered in the race using their own money. How about it, is there anyone else out there who wants to put their hand up to come out of an Ironman hiatus if we hit a big figure? with Matt Porta and 2 others.

07.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We really appreciate your continued patience and understanding while our team has been working hard to find a new 2020 date. Thanks to the suppo...rt of our amazing stakeholders, we are really pleased to share with you that the 2020 Ultra-Trail Australia will now take place over Thursday 22nd October - Sunday 25th October 2020. All currently registered athletes have been automatically transferred to this new date and sent an email from us explaining their options for deferring their entry if this new date does not suit. We thank you again for your patience and support in this trying time and look forward to providing you with an exceptional race experience later this year.

07.01.2022 Wow get on it guys if your thinking about it

05.01.2022 *IRONMAN Oceania 2020 Season Update* Yesterday we confirmed that IRONMAN Australia and IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie, unfortunately, will not be taking place as p...lanned this September due to reasons relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Not being able to hold a big, iconic IRONMAN event is hugely disappointing for everyone involved. However, we are determined to come back to Port Macquarie even stronger in 2021. We understand many of you are wondering what this means for the rest of our IRONMAN events scheduled to take place in Oceania in 2020. With Government restrictions easing in some states we remain very positive about the road ahead. Our team, with the support of our stakeholders, are fully focused on delivering amazing and safe events in the second half of 2020. Every event is being assessed on a case-by-case basis. We consider local regulatory and health restrictions, domestic and international border controls, event design and community resources specific to every event. One thing for certain is that change is constant, but we work with the information that we have at hand at the time. As at today (8th July), our team is full steam ahead with the planning and delivery of these events: IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast (13 September) in Queensland. IRONMAN 70.3 Western Sydney (27 September) in New South Wales IRONMAN 70.3 Melbourne (15 November) in Victoria IRONMAN Western Australia and IRONMAN 70.3 Western Australia (6 December) in Western Australia We are also working very closely with local stakeholders to finalise our plans for IRONMAN Cairns and hope to have an update regarding this event in the next couple of days. For our New Zealand athletes, we would also like to confirm that IRONMAN 70.3 Taup will not be taking place in November/December this year. We understand it can be difficult to stay motivated when the goalposts keep shifting but to anyone entered in an event later this year, we encourage you to stay positive and keep your training up. On behalf of the entire IRONMAN Oceania Group, we thank you again for your ongoing patience and support. Kia Kaha (Stay Strong).
