19.01.2022 Our doors are currently closed due to Mitch being in Alice Springs doing what he loves racing Finke! We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. I'd love to have our doors open but let's face I have no idea what I'm doing without Mitch. Mitch is happy with his start time and heads off tomorrow at 3pm, I'll keep you all updated.

13.01.2022 We will reopen our doors on Monday 21st June. Massive thank you to all our sponsors and our fabulous customers for making this trip happen year after year for our family and friends that join us. Mitch has made it back to Alice Springs and is safe. His ride home didn't turn out to be at all what I thought it would be but his safe and that is the main thing. Finke is in our families blood, it started with a trip as spectators in 2017 to celebrate Mitch's 40th birthday. ... It had always been a dream of Mítch's to be a part of this great race and mine to see that part of Australia. In 2018 I watched Mitch race from home as we were due to have Harvey in a month's time, then in 2019 Mitch raced with family in tow. (these are photos from that trip) COVID put an end to Harvey and I going this year but hopefully next year we will make the journey again. As tragic as the incident was yesterday people need to understand that spectating along side of the track comes with risks and yes death is one of them. Finke organisers do a fantastic job creating a safe spectating area from the start/finish line but if you decide to go down the track to camp and get those spectacular views close up you are risking your life. Freak accidents happen and my heart goes out to the family and friends of the man who lost his life and also the drivers of the buggy. Finke has been running for 45years and from my knowledge nothing like this has happened before so let's hope it runs again next year. 10.01.2022 Mitch and I have decided to take on John and Sally's business Sale Battery Centre & Oils while they focus on more important things. Mitch will still be running around like a crazy man running both shops for awhile and I'll be advertising on FB, working it around Tupperware and my full time job as a Mum. Please be patient with us....while we navigate this new beginning! We will eventually look at day care options for Harvey so I can spend more time helping Mitch, I'm not m...uch good on the tools so don't stress I won't be out the back! Overwhelming time for a new first time Mum returing to work. Our baby is growing up! I've had a few job offers of late and trying to pick the best one for my family has been hard as I want to do them all! And who knows one day I might! Thank you to those people who offered me work. 07.01.2022 Tragic News is just coming in of an accident involving a buggy and spectators. For now the race has been postponed while emergency services attend to the scene. Mitch and all the other bike riders remain in Finke until further notice, I will update you when I know more. My thoughts and prayers go out to those involved their families and friends. Take care of each other. X
