12.01.2022 Brydi Saul is a 9 year old going places and dreams of becoming a Paralympian. Earlier this year, she became the youngest person ever to complete the grueling Oz Day 10k wheelchair road-race around The Rocks in Sydney. Brydi competed in that race thanks to support from a scholarship through Variety - the Children's Charity of Queensland that you help fund when you attend the Triple Zero Charity Ball each year. Now she wants to give back by participating in Variety's bad hair... May. If she gets enough donations, she will do something crazy to her hair on 29 May...but she has refused to say just how crazy yet and says the more money she raises, the crazier her hair will be. Let's help Brydi to help other kids just like her, to follow their dreams too!!! 09.01.2022 Coronavirus continues to ruin all our fun! I spoke with the venue today and there is still no dance floors allowed at events + they are only allowing 115 people in the function space. We’ve already sold WAY more than 115 tickets. So because we’re not boring, and the TZB isn’t a dinner party, we’ve had to postpone (yet again!) to Saturday, 29 May 2021. ... Your tickets will be valid for the new date, however if you can’t make it for any reason, I will provide refunds as long as it’s before 1 April 2021. Just PM the page. We’ll get there eventually!

06.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE! The Triple Zero Charity Ball 2020 will now be held on Saturday, 10 October! The restrictions won't be lifted enough for us to have a big enough party in July, so October it is!... Just to be safe, we are going to cap the numbers at 480, but if restrictions are fully lifted by then, we can open it up to more. If you can't make this date, please PM the page and we will arrange a full refund. But put your roster requests in now! All the nurses need a party after this craziness, right?

02.01.2022 A six-year-old boy battling a terminal illness had been sworn into the Queensland Police Service. He is an exceptional kid. Queensland Police: The Queensland... Police Service is delighted to announce six-year-old Brisbane boy, Travis Heery, who is battling a terminal illness, has been sworn into the Service as an honorary junior police officer. Little Travis has always wanted to be a police officer. Unfortunately, in his final weeks of Prep, he was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas (DIPG) which is an aggressive and incurable tumour that grows in the brainstem. Showing his bravery and resilience, Travis has received 30 radiation treatments, which successfully gave him full motion back and for two blissful months, and he was able to be a normal six year old boy. Travis’ mum, Kaye, said that sadly, the tumour has returned and has now entered a state of progression which will eventually take Travis’s ability to speak, eat and eventually breathe. He is courageous beyond measure, Kaye said. He takes every blow with a great attitude and has endured more than most adults. He is an exceptional kid. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS
