25.01.2022 This is what we posted the day our studio opened in NOVEMBER 2019. . "Our focus & hope for you all, whatever you are facing, is to "STAY IN THE FIGHT". It asks you to keep going, to persist, persevere & not give up. It asks you to look up, get up and believe for better. It is now boldly written on our wall reminding you to believe in yourself and in us. We believe in you and we want to support you, whatever your position, purpose, passion, need or goal. . . STAY IN THE FIGHT ...applies to everyone, on any given day & it may require a huge move or a baby step but it still asks you to believe. It applies to the goal driven, sport specific athletes. Those that need to confidently pass their fitness tests and those that simply need accountability. It is for the fatigued mind & the tired body. To the shift worker, the first responders & the overworked student. To those facing depression, suffering from PTSD/PTSI or the forever supportive parents that struggle to prioritise time for themselves . It is for the tradey after a long day, to the couple on a wedshred, to the time poor PT and to those that dont even know where to start." . In the meantime: Our studio has been closed, our everyday world has shrunk considerably, people have seen great loss and carry heavy burdens but our motivation & passion remains the same! 25.01.2022 Sneaky new addition to the studio. For any of our clients that like a pre workout espresso or a post workout latte ..... well we have you covered! That's how much we love coffee, we mean YOU, how much we love you! . FyI: One cup of coffee (usually containing 80-100 mg of caffeine) before a workout might be all you need to get that added push to exercise harder. But coffee isn’t for everyone, as caffeine can have detrimental effects on blood pressure, heart rate, and cause feelings of nervousness or anxiety in some people. It also has diuretic properties, so you need to pair it with enough water so that you don’t become dehydrated. Also remember to bring your own Keep Cup.

Although our faces may not show it here, as we quickly try & recover, but did you know when you exercise, it increases endorphins, dopamine, adrenaline & endocannabinoid. These are all brain chemicals associated with feeling happy, feeling confident, feeling capable, feeling less anxiety & stress & even less physical pain! . Now thats a good reason to get up and move ! This doesnt mean you have to push yourself to extreme, however aiming for a go...od personal goal of 7 - 8 out of 10 in effort for 30 - 45 min should have you well on your way to feeling better than when you started ! . After very much investigating we cant find anywhere that says its okay to keep personal training, so we will have to shut the gate for just a short time so we can do our bit to help get this virus under control. 05.01.2022 Ever thought about why PT is so satisfying for many. I mean other than achieving your physical goals? . As a Trainer, there's another element to Coaching that isn't often discussed & that is the 'PERSONAL' part of PT. . PT requires a level of collaboration, trust, respect, constructive conflict, perspective, empathy, influence & resilience. In short it is relationship. ... . The majority of humans need these attributes for growth & when you can create a rapport with each other, you quickly identify that mediocre doesn't feel good, & isn't effective! . But despite relationship in todays world we are all experienced enough to know that time & money has the biggest influence of all, so when these attributes of PT are in the mix as they should be the Coach & the Client walk away feeling the investment was most definitely worth it & that's what we all want. . So when choosing a PT, shop around & never underestimate the energy balance and teamwork required to create consistent change! . 03.01.2022 As Coaches we have many different interests , it's not just about 'smashing it in the gym' . From basketball, krav maga, boxing, surfing, self defence, cycling & of course competitive games that end up in ridiculous laughing fits. In it all our focus is simply movement, to have a lifestyle that is consistently active and one that we really love & enjoy! . Covid has restricted us all, but if our focus is fun everyday, rather than the burden of a workout it may just help us stay, HEALTHY & HAPPY ! Change the plan, get rid of the burden and chase movement that makes you happy. Let's not over complicate things!
