25.01.2022 Or been in ISO for too long

24.01.2022 The past six weeks have been quiet challenging on many levels.. working from home, home schooling, lack of social interaction and the uncertainty. One thing I’ve ensured I do everyday, apart from get a coffee, is to get outside and do some form of exercise. It’s not just to stay fit it’s for mental health and well being as well. I’ve started running 3-4kms most days however today I wasn’t feeling up for a run so just did a walk. It was good to slow down and take a break, here are some treasures from my walk. What are your daily habits to stay balanced?

24.01.2022 A beautiful reminder of what’s important in life

23.01.2022 Lunch today was so yum thought I’d share.. it is a delicious, nutritious and simple dish that only takes a few minutes to prepare. A great quick meal that kids love too. Soba noodles with veggies and salmon Today’s version is with diced cauliflower - florets, stalks and leaves and green beans. I allow about a good handful of veggies per person. ... I cook the veggies in the same water as the noodles by putting them in a few minutes before the noodles. Then add the soba noodles and cook for a further 4 minutes. Drain the noodles and veggies. Serve topped with a can of salmon or tuna and sprinkle with a little soy sauce. A packet of noodles can make 6 serves.

20.01.2022 Today’s selections and because we have started a little late in the calendar we double indulge each day: Started with a fabulous refreshing berry/green tea.. so yummy The next one.. one of the best chamomile teas.. perfect for a relaxing Sunday morning..

16.01.2022 Take time for self care: * Eat well * Stay hydrated * Continue your exercise routine * Be gentle on yourself if you’re not feeling 100%... * If you have a pre existing health condition ensure you are managing it - don’t forget your medications! * Boost your immune system * Support your nervous system and manage/monitor stress levels * Gut health is important for immunity! 16.01.2022 I noticed on my morning walk today, though it was a beautiful sunny winters day in Melbourne, with the requirement to wear masks there’s not much of our skin exposed. Skin exposure to the sun is important for Vit D production and thus assists with our immune system and bone health . And with stage 4 restrictions beginning tonight our outdoor time may decrease further. Make the most of the time outside. For me physical activity is more than just fitness, it’s a keystone to... my mental health, sleep and general well being. Make the most of your outdoor time, if it’s not too cold try wearing a t shirt or even just rolling up your sleeves, wear a Vneck jumper or unzip your jacket a little to expose the top part of your chest, it’ll help with your Vit D levels. I do love the sun but really like being warm and usually when I run on cold days I wear a long sleeve top, but this afternoon I braved being cold for a little and donned a short sleeve to soak up some Vit D, also helped me run faster as it was chilly. The rainbow lorikeets were enjoying the sun too

16.01.2022 How are you going this week? With school holidays and Melbourne still in stage 4, it easy to be overwhelmed, or a myriad of other emotions. For me exercise is a key to staying positive, today I nearly didn’t go out as it was cold and raining but in true Melbourne style the weather changed for a little bit.. I am so grateful the Bay Trail is within my 5kms

10.01.2022 We are more than just physical beings and this weekend we are reminded of it big time. Sunday we have a solar eclipse on a new moon on a Solstice, it’s been 19 years since this occurred. It’s time to look within and decide what we want in our future, are the choices we make each day supporting the picture we carry for our tomorrow?? This can be challenging as well as rewarding, if you are feeling more anxious or conflicted than normal, try being gentle on yourself, kind and ...patient. You are not alone. Solstice is a time to appreciate what we have - in the Southern hemisphere its winter and a time to look within, for those in the Northern parts of the world is a time to rejoice in the long days of summer. Be grateful for all we have Since 1982 a solar eclipse with a new moon on a solstice has occurred every 19 years and will do so each 19 years until June 21, 2058 (i.e. 5 times) then an eclipse will not occur on a Solstice for nearly 200 years. This Sunday’s energy is going to stir things up bring in much-needed change, both personally and the collectively. Personally I’ve been feeling this energy moving/growing for the past two weeks and find it useful to remember we are more than physical beings we are infinitely connected to the universe. There are also five planets in retrograde (Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Venus and Mercury) It's time to let go of old wounds, the past and manifest in the new!! If you feel the need for additional support either physically or spiritually and would like a healing, naturopath consult or reading (distant/remote session by phone or zoom are available) there are a few available appointments for Saturday and I’d be honoured to assist you through this time. Embrace this energy and allow it to be a catalyst for great change. See more

04.01.2022 Feeling sluggish, hormonal or a few kgs heavier after the holidays? Detox time!!Feeling sluggish, hormonal or a few kgs heavier after the holidays? Detox time!!

03.01.2022 Post run recovery drink.. I never get the post workout muscle soreness if I take this within 20 mins of finishing. L-glutamine aids the recovery of the muscles. Today’s mix has some vit C and some brain power powder great for mind clarity and memory

01.01.2022 Taking time to relax and de stress is more important than ever. Take some time out of the day to relax and release your concerns. Today’s walk in the gardens provided me with a good dose of vitamin D, cleared my mind and the sight of these beautiful flowers opened my heart.

01.01.2022 How many serves of veggies do you eat a day? Some days I don’t get the recommended 5-7 serves and instead go for the quick carbs such as pasta or rice, after a few days my body begins to crave veggies.. today’s lunch... beautiful steamed organic veggies - broccoli, green beans, carrots & bokchoy to be drizzled with olive oli.. Yum ... I’d normally suggest to have some protein with the veggies but today I’m wanting a cleanse and to give my digestive system a bit of a rest.
