06.01.2022 Trisha's Tag along Tours run 4wd tag along tours on beautifal Mawonga station. Owned by Winangakirri aboriginal corporation (WAC) a local organization. Comprising of a majority Ngyiamppa people from central New South Wales. Owned and managed with a focus on conservation, learning and community growth. 55,000 acres of semi-arid beauty with a unique mix of landlandscapes, animals and history. Mawonga station is one of those special places.... The kind of place that many overlook but is forever with those few that take the time to experience the magic. From the views atop the Maroobah Range to the activity amongs the Pine and Mallee forests. There is always something new to see even for those lucky enough to live in this spectacular region. Our tours are more then a drive in Bush they are a full day of adventure and learning. Our guides are Ngyiamppa traditional owners with a wealth of knowledge. They will share with you ancient rock artwork that you won't see anywhere else in Australia. History of the local communities both Aboriginal and European. Traditional aboriginal games that the whole family can be a part of. Conservation techniques including mosaic burn sites and pest control programs. Bush foods and medicinal plants. Our guides hold nationally recognized certification in both 4x4 operations and recovery. So you can be confident they will ensure the safest journey possible for both you and your vehicle. Before you join us on one of our tours there are a few things you need to consider. All tours are self catered unless stated otherwise You will be travelling in remote locations with unsealed roads and limited services. If you do not have road worthy tires including at least one spare you will not be able to join us. A full tank of fuel is your safest option as once we leave Hillston there are no service stations. Unfortunately due to geographic restraints payment is cash only on the day of the tour. Whilst all tracks are suitable for all driving abilities a high clearance vehical is a must. Such as standard 4wd vehicles (No suspension upgrades required). Whilst we are as cautious as possible you are responsible for any and all damages to your property. Now that's all out of the way check out our services tab and join us on our next awesome adventure!!
