24.01.2022 This is one of my go to Gluteus Med activation exercises. It also doubles up as a great exercise to help correct neuromuscular patterning for the squat.

24.01.2022 A couple of interesting points for two exercises. 1. OMG how much more taxing are doing your deadlifts in singles rather than a touch and go. Never ceases to amaze me even after 20 years. 2. If you or your clients perform either throw or punch sports try the second exercise for some neuromuscular patterning. The objective for this drill is to get your drive leg beating your upperbody. You can see I struggle to achieve that, hence why I'm doing it. My biggest challenge with this is mobility, something I really need to focus on.

21.01.2022 Opinion. I get that obesity puts a lot of stress on the national medical bill so something needs to be done. However wouldn't we be better off spending the money on re educating the next gen that can actually be saved? Also where are we at with a sugar tax. It worked with tobacco and sugar is certainly an addiction. Plus from what little I've read hasn't the sugar tax in the UK been labelled a success? I know the National Sugar Association in the US is powerful. Who's back pockets are getting lined here in Aussie?

21.01.2022 It has to be said one of the hidden benefits of power training is the stress relief. I know exercise in general is known as a great tonic for stress. But letting rip and going 110% at something Ive always found just does that little bit more. Two of my favourites 3 way chops and split jumps on a box.

You'll notice the final video in this sequence is a vid of me attempting to re-program my new motor pathways that the extra mobility has created for my 'power position' (throws). This is an important process if you want to re-wire the nervous system to create more effective movement long term.
