I don't want to Dampier spirits, but you know I Leichhardt ones thrown in here and there too. I'm hoping that does't cause a mutiny, or a (Rum) Rebellion!... So what are you waiting for? 14.01.2022 TRIVIA BYTES @ HOME! Firstly, I'd like to start by sending out my heartfelt wishes to all those who are suffering from the current situation. I'm sure there are very few who are unaffected by the rapidly increasing restrictions being placed on our livelihoods and lifestyle. Whether it be unemployment, financial difficulties, direct illness of yourselves or loved ones, or lack of toilet paper, I hope you are all keeping your chin up! For those who don't know, TriviaBytes is a ...one-man show and is my only income. With the announcement on Sunday that all pubs and restaurants must close for dining-in, that income just became zero, and your weekly dose of TriviaBytes just became zero, so I want to make a proposal. I'm currently fine tuning some details, but before I go any further I'd like to get your feedback on the following idea: - I am looking into the logistics of broadcasting a weekly live TribiaBytes event, probably on Zoom (deciding between Thu or Fri nights) - Anyone could log in and play along at home - Obviously it wouldn't be possible for teams in different locations to compete against each other (hello, Google) but that doesn't mean you couldn't organise your own in-house competition with family and friends and split yourselves into small teams. Make a night of it! - The format would be as close as possible to our usual, without a Fan's Choice but probably still with an Endgame - As far as cost goes, I am reluctant to set a fixed price per head or household and so what I think I'd like to do is leave it up to individuals to pay what they feel inclined to pay. We have all been affected to wildly varying degrees by this disaster so I would invite people to pay a nominal amount, depending what they can afford* So, PLEASE let me know in the comments below whether or not this is something you'd like me to do in this interim period until the zombies disperse and our venues open back up. 07.01.2022 For those considering signing up for Wednesday's launch of Trivia Love Bytes but aren't sure how it's going to work: - Come as an individual, or bring some frie...nds. - If you want to remain with up to 2 friends for the entire night (i.e. you will play in the same team all night) please send us a message after you've purchased your tickets and we'll keep you together - Teams will generally consist of 3 guys and 3 girls but may vary slightly depending on the make up of numbers -There will be 4 rounds of trivia. Each table will normally have 3 ladies and the ladies will remain at that table for all 4 rounds. Each round 3 new gents will join each table. As much as possible we will match appropriate age groups together - The TABLE that accumulates the most points on the night wins and each of those three ladies will receive TWO free dinner vouchers - one for themselves, and one for them to give to any male team mate they had for the night (no obligation to use your dinner vouchers together!) - All participants who attend will then have the opportunity at the end of the night to fill out a form to indicate who they'd be interested in getting in touch with. Any matches, both of you will be given each other's contact details the next day. - As well as the overall winners, there will be some extra bonus fun games played through the night for prizes, and there will be an opportunity to freely mingle at the half-time break and at the end Any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us!
