10.01.2022 Every batch of ALTA rigs that are made goes through a Non-Destruction Test called an NDT. In this test, a special dye is sprayed onto all of the load bearing welds on the rig to test the quality of welding. *This test goes far beyond a visual inspection in terms of efficacy and all human-loading equipment should be undergoing this examination. *The ALTA rigs are only released to us once this test has been passed. It is conducted by a third-party authorised inspector, NOT the manufacturer, designer, engineer or us! Every client who purchases the ALTA rig will get a copy of this test document. * Why isn't everyone doing this? Because it is EXPENSIVE and you have to be 100% sure of your welds and your manufacture process!
