24.01.2022 Edit: Date has be updated Saturday 20/02/21 I can’t make during the week due to work commitments. It’s with great sadness I post this post.... AGM will be hel...d on the 20/02/2021 at 4pm at the footy fields at the old canteen. This is the 3rd attempt to hold this meeting. We currently don’t have a viable club as the following positions need to be filled President Vice President Treasurer Coach Registrar FAO And a team of players.... We have a comp to play in and have till end of Feb to fill the gaps and present a team to the TRL. Please please get behind the Terries and see what we can do... We still have our sponsors on board and everything has been paid we just need a committee and a team!! Hope to see you all on the 16th Thanks Leanne

05.01.2022 Rugby League Ipswich - 2020 Volunteers Cup Round Ten OBee’s Preview Venue: Cahill Park Sporting Complex. Buaraba Street Gatton Saturday the 3rd October... 1.30pm Goodna v Souths ____________________________ The eagle’s juggernaut is set to continue in this match. They were brutal last week and I can’t see them lifting their foot off the pedal in this one. But I did like Souths performance last week. They hung in and hung in. Goodna are such a rounded side with pace mixed with huge forwards. They play West End next week and if any, they have had a little bit of trouble with Ipswich sides in this tournament. In the back of their mind is their exit from last season’s Ipswich rugby league finals. No more motivation needed. Goodna to win this one. 3.30pm West End V Norths These sides will be fine tuning themselves for next weeks finals. The question is whether they play their form players to keep combinations going. I suggest they both will tinker with their sides especially if qualification requirements need to be met. West End love momentum type play and have always started well then gone missing during games. But they overcame that last week and were very good. I’m expecting a free-flowing game as these players will probably not want to injure themselves while tackling. But remember guys, defence wins finals. Both sides did defend well last week but I suggest this will be a different game. For me, I have to flip a coin. You never now, they may meet each other in the final. But if I have to tip, It’s Norths as they are the only side to beat Goodna out of the two if you can work that out. 5.30pm Valleys V Gatton __________________________ Chicken and Chips derbies are rippers and especially at Cahill Park. There will be a huge crowd to back the Hawks and forget last week’s showing by Gatton. They will come to play against old rivals Valleys. Both sides got a shellacking last week and it’s not in their make up to lay down the next week. We have had the pleasure of watching Josh Chappell and Oliver Bichel. These two young players have good futures and it may be the last time we see them pay at home. It’s worth the entry fee alone just to see these two play. Valleys still have players out/rested so I think the Hawks can lift for this one. One tin of Coco!!!!! Ladder: Goodna 16 Valleys 12, Norths 12, West End 6, Souths 4, Gatton 4.
