01.01.2022 After leaving Busselton we spent a great couple of days in Collie, WA. We didn't know much about this area, apart from being close to the Wellington Dam and Gnomesville . We had tracked the murals being painted on the dam wall and wanted to see them for ourselves and who doesn't want to see thousands of Gnomes We camped up at Stockton Lake and saw first hand the brilliant, crystal clear/blue waters. It was amazing! The clarity and 'hue' of this man made lake is astonishing.... The weather wasn't warm enough to but it was very tempting. Stockton Lake is not far from some massive coal mines, we could here the mining activity from camp. The black shovel in front of Premier Coal mine called for a photo op Collie has plenty of street murals to check out and It was a great way to walk off the Bakery treats After being coastal for such a long time it was nice to spend a couple of nights in the bush and cook on a fire.
