25.01.2022 If you’re out and about for the International Women’s Day (IWD) march in Darwin’s CBD or the skate event at Leanyer Recreation Park tomorrow (Sunday, 8 March), why not add to the fun and walk or skate around the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition afterwards. Less than two months to go before lights go out on 30 April. So get your skates on like the Chicks in Bowls Darwin #Darwin #NTAustralia #IWD #OpenForBusiness #HolidayHereThisYear

20.01.2022 The Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition would not have been possible without the work of our incredible volunteers. On behalf of every visitor you have helped, THANK YOU. We salute you! You are absolutely wonderful and we appreciate everything you have done. ... You made the exhibition shine that little bit brighter!

13.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Please be advised Bruce Munro: Tropical Light is continuing as normal. We have carried out a risk assessment based on Australian Government COVID-19 guidelines and, due to the non-static, spaced-out nature of the outdoor exhibition, attending is not considered a health risk. We do however ask visitors to follow government guidelines around social distancing, including keeping a distance of 1.5m between themselves and others and staying at home if they feel unwell! The lights are switched on every night from 7pm to 10pm, but remember they will be turned off for good on 30 April 2020. Visit www.tropicallight.com.au.
10.01.2022 Due to further COVID-19 precautions, the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light exhibition will now finish today instead of on 30 April 2020. Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who have helped guide people around the sculptures, and to all those who have come along to enjoy the illuminations. This was a world-first exhibition and we’re glad you got to see it before lights out!
09.01.2022 Since Bruce Munro: Tropical Light opened last year, we’ve been lucky to have many local businesses get involved in the exhibition by creating tailor-made, Tropical Light themed products. From Tropical Light inspired food and drinks,Tropical Summer accessories, tours, experiences and shopfront displays, we have been amazed by the ways in which Top End businesses have embraced this unique Darwin event. The positive feedback we have received by many local operators is fantastic, and we encourage you all to get out and experience the Tropical Light themed products before the exhibition concludes on 30 April! #BruceMunroTropicalLight #TropicalLight #Darwin #NTAustralia #OpenForBusiness #HolidayHereThisYear
08.01.2022 Popping up like mushrooms overnight, Tropical Macrofungal has a new home next to the Darwin Convention Centre. The intriguing sculptures by artist Gloria Richards are part of the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light Exhibition. Remember to download the Tropical Light App to listen to Gloria's story about the Tropical Summer. You can also hear the inspiration behind the work of world-renowned artist Bruce Munro and four other local artists as well as Larrakia seasonal stories. #darwin #NTAustralia #OpenForBusiness #HolidayHereThisYear
07.01.2022 Need some tips to make a Tropical Light inspired cocktail. Little Miss Korea’s resident expert Jun Young Lee will dazzle you with his moves when you ask for The Cherry Blossom as part of the Darwin City Tropical Light Cocktail Trail. Jun Young Lee, who is from Korea and fine-tuned his cocktail making skills in Singapore, says the secret to a perfect cocktail is balance not too sweet and not too sour. Cherry Blossom also means Sweet Romance. Awwww. #tropicalight #eatshopplaydarwin #cocktailrecipes #OpenForBusiness #HolidayHereThisYear Darwin City & Waterfront Retailers Association Inc
05.01.2022 Super volunteers Camille Fong Lim and David Brabham have been with the Bruce Munro: Tropical Light team since the launch in Darwin on 1 November 2019. Over the past four months the two volunteers have shared their love of the free, city-wide world-class exhibition with locals and visitors from all over the world nearly every week. We even have a pic of Camille on launch night with another volunteer and one take recently with David. #darwin #NTAustralia #volunteers #OpenForBusiness #HolidayHereThisYear
