14.01.2022 World migratory bird day. Migratory waders from the northern hemisphere are among some of our visitors at the moment. Have a look for them at many of the coastal Ramsar sites around the country. Many travel thousands of kilometres.

14.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Tropical Treks had arranged tours for January 2021 to Sri Lanka with #Aarunyavacations, guided by my friend Rahula Perera. Alas, as we know that's not possible at this time. Rahula in conjunction with #SavannahGuides is presenting this interactive 60 minute virtual tour webinar, on the 12 November 2020, to give people an insight into the beautiful birds of Sri Lanka. It will be followed by a 20 minute Q&A. The cost is $25. If you have thought of travel to Sri Lanka to see the birds, then this tour will be invaluable. I hope to see you at the webinar. 01.01.2022 Sounds like a cat in pain, or perhaps a baby crying. The sound confused early pioneers to the region who went off into the bush looking for a baby in distress. What do you reckon?
