21.01.2022 When you already have 35 varieties of Avocado trees and are an enthusiastic collector for more, of course you drive from NSW to Tropiculture Aust., Bees Creek to collect extras. That’s exactly what Belinda Burges did adding Tropiculture's Schuller and Calypso Avocados to her collection as well as trialing two others we have under research.

Well this Saturday we have plenty of juicy and SWEET Rio Red GRAPEFRUIT for sale, plus a selection of other fruit and some vegetables from the organic patch. We've been quite busy during this pandemic season, but still have a diversity of citrus and tropical fruit trees, herbs, spices, leafy greens and vegetable seedlings to choose from. 15.01.2022 WHAT’S NEW AT TROPICULTURE.... Our popular Trop. Grapevine is now in season and ready to plant. For those waiting, our new batch of tissue cultured bananas ...Williams Cavendish, Blue Java, Lady Finger and Pacific Plantain will be available next week. Many others are also available. Our new irrigation and upgraded production systems are almost finished. Stocks are gradually getting back to normal. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Open to the public every Saturday 8am-12noon.

14.01.2022 During the last fortnight... The Tropiculture team hosted 60 well behaved and engaged children from Bees Creek Vacation Care. Our young visitors were shown The Vegie Patch, Fruit fly traps, Potting plants, Nursery trees and enjoyed an assortment of tasty fruits. Garden Club Meeting... Well armed with lots of eats and questions last Friday were some 60 members of the Garden Club. Tropiculture Australia enjoyed having a visit from both groups.

02.01.2022 Vanilla Bean vines are flowering now and we have begun hand-pollinating flowers! The Top End doesn't have the animal species which pollinate these flowers naturally, so we must give them a helping hand If you want to see how it's done (or learn about producing vanilla beans for panna cotta) drop in early on a Saturday morning (8-9am) over the next few weeks.
