06.01.2022 The Australian Government released the draft Investment Mandate for the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (the Facility) on 17 March 2016 and is seeking public comment until 29 March 2016. The Facility is on track with the introduction of the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility Bill 2016 (the Bill) into Parliament on 17 March 2016, which follows on from an extensive consultation process on the design of the Facility in November 2015 and further consultation on... the exposure draft of the Bill in late January 2016. The Investment Mandate has been issued by the Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia and sets out the Government’s instructions to the Facility’s Board when making investment decisions. The mandate includes: types of financial assistance that may be offered; characteristics of financial assistance including concession and loan conditions; eligibility criteria for financial assistance; and consultation requirements. The draft Investment Mandate is available at the link below. All comments on the draft Investment Mandate should be sent to [email protected] by 29 March 2016.
